I so much enjoyed your explanation of Suga's rap section around the 9 minute mark. Although I am no musician, I never felt 'talked down to', and once you explained it, it became so much more understandable why his rapping is so compelling!

I really like that you pointed out J-Hope’s rhythm when he raps. He’s also the dance leader in BTS, and spent years as a street dancer before joining BTS. I’ve heard it said before that he “raps like he dances” and I just love that metaphor and how well it fits Hobi.

the time signature concept and yoongi's deviation was very well explained visually, verbally and aurally

The part where you can hear the marching band cheering them on in the background because they know how exhausting this choreography is and want to give them that extra energy gives me chills every single time. The background dancers in this case were from California (the lady you see standing in the middle of the line at the very beginning is the one that actually choreographed this whole thing) and when they perform it in Korea with their own background dancers, it always makes me sad that they don't hype BTS up like these ones do.

Yayyy someone who appreciates the 3 over 4 thing in Suga's verse! It one of my favorite parts of the song but most people just gloss over it... I love it!

SUGA was part of undeground hip hop scene and was already an established producer before joining BTS. He actually was hired as producer at first, but then was convinced to become member of the group

SUGA is very talented songwriter, composer, producer and rapper. Hope you'll have opportunity to check out his self-produced mixtapes. He has two of them with 10 tracks each and he releases them not as SUGA of BTS or producer SUGA, but as solo artist Agust D. He differentiates his 3 personas and looks at music with different approach

Ok ok ok ok i need to calm down but you're literally the first reactor tat actually gives ON the love it deserves. ON is my alltime favourite BTS song. So, I ain't gonna ask u to react to anything because man, you will be amazing reacting to any bts song at all.I'm so happy that you did this reaction. I wanna join your twitter group so bad hehe. It would be amazing to meet more musical armys and geek out about the actual music and message of bts, not how hot they are (but that's good too haha)

re: Jimmy Fallon's show, i agree, they ought to incorporate English translation for BTS, given how frequently the group is featured on the show (yes, safe to say, Fallon is ARMY:). i'm relatively new ARMY from Cali myself and love BTS as a whole, no matter what language their songs are in. but for the general English based audience that Fallon is introducing them to, that he primarily caters to, captions would serve to heighten the curiosity of first-time viewers of BTS' performances/music, respectfully. i mean, it's obvious that BTS performances are already eye-catching, but the significance of their lyrics may easily be dismissed, which is a shame.

At first I was like oh, he's not watching On Kinetic Manifesto Film with the marching band but after seeing your amazement and hearing all the aspects of the music that I have never heard from another reactor, I think it would have been too much. The Grand Central performance is pretty close anyway. Sorry if we broke you, Andrew. Thanks for the breakdown!

SUGA is very experienced and versatile musician. He has been rapping and making music for 15-16 years. He has been playing piano since very young age and right now started playing guitar and thinks about learning how to play drums. He is credited in many songs for piano, keyboard and synthesizer. And he even has song "First love", which is about piano and music. When he had multiple part-time jobs he was working at record studio and was giving MIDI lessons. He was undeground rapper and known as producer. K-media named him Hand of Midas, cause each song he produces becomes a hit. He produces not only for BTS but for other famous artists as well and produced songs in absolutely different genres from hip hop to r&b, from alternative rock to pop and he has multiple awards as producer and broke many records as solo artist.

There's the "On Commentary Film" which is a behind the scenes of the making of the song ON with the Bruins band members and the chorus group who sang in the background too in the recording studio in Los Angeles. It might be something you want to check out if you have time.

Not gonna lie, I absolutely love it when musicians geek out to BTS. Because I can recognize their artistry but I can't explain and define it, so I love to hear someone actually breaking down what's going on.

A few things about the "On" videos the audio recording was done by the UCLA brass and percussion but the video "On Manifesto ... " was performed by the Blue Devil Drum and Bugle Crop. Now on J-Hope rapping he is primarily a dance and the dance leader for BTS so when he raps he has the rythm of a dancer he dances very improvisionally so it is no wonder that he raps that way as well, the second place you stopped the "I don't give a ugh" is actually Suga, he writes/produces most of the big sounds coming out of BTS. You really need to watch the "On Manifesto Con Prima" it is probrably gonna be something you will enjoy more, since the music is what you want to listen to. You remind me of how I feel the first time I hear everyone one of their songs. It was fun watching you count the beat before you talk about it. There were many biblical references but it is very much the culmination of the BTS universe. No your not that bothers me too. How hard is it to get a Korean translator for a few words. Probably 30 min worth of work.
