As an army who went to see suga in concert, Varnell was exactly right with how the audience reacted at the show. From headbanging to crying and lightsticks. He needs to see the concert dvd.

So glad he appreciates Adora's backing vocals! ❤ Some info: Adora is a singer/producer who worked at Bighit for many years. Whenever you hear female backing vocals in a bts song, that's her. A noticeable example is the song Inner Child. She left Bighit a few years ago to start her own solo career. But she's still close with them: Yoongi asked her to record vocals for SDL and she also sang live during some of his tour!

The amount of STANK FACES Varnell made 😂 he's already so far gone down the purple rabbithole and he ain't even kno it yet! Please make more vids Sleep! I can't wait for Varnell to meet J-hope and the vocal line 💜

Thank you Sleep and Varnell - this is so much fun! Suga is such a talented producer, and I've noticed he has a love of big orchestration and expansive soundscapes - it shows up in his BTS and Agust D work, but it's more noticeable in his production for outside projects, like "Stay Alive" (an OST featuring Jungkook) and "Over the Horizon, " his 2022 version of Samsung's ringtone. Ryuichi Sakamoto was one of his heroes--they met a few months before his passing (no spoilers y'all)--and Suga used to make beats with his instrumental pieces. I just know he has a movie score in him, and I really hope he'll do one someday. 💜

It’s amazing how Varnall don’t know the lyrics yet but understood the language of music that he got emotional to a song that was very personal and emotional for Suga.

The fact that Suga actually cried while performing Dear My Friend at his D-Day Final concert and Varnell predicted that it's a tear jerker MANNNE

So the thing with rapline is that they are big lovers of the old school rap that they would actually basically hold classes for the other members when they joined so that the vocal line could appreciate what they were trying to do when they first were becoming a hip-hop group more than an idol group which they more became. Yoongi especially loves Eminem.

I love that Varnell can appreciate the artistry in the genius of Suga's music and feel what transcends language just by his skill. Because I know when you take what you think you already know and add in the translated lyrics, the whole album hits even deeper. I cannot wait to see more of Varnell's journey down the rabbit hole but for me, Sleep's face sends! He knowing what we already know, Sleep you da true ARMY representing 💜 Varnell welcome to the party! It's lovely on this side

AgustD was the highest rap album seller in the US with his D-Day album. Also most concert revenue for rap concerts in US in 2023.

It's sad they put him in the kpop genre box only and by "they" I mean the western industry. Only a select few sites that keep up with rap charts or hip hop actually listed his album, there were others that completely ignored him by leaving them off their charts. And don't get me started with Billboard calling "D-Day" a kpop tour instead of a rap tour, anybody that went to that show will tell you that was a rap concert.

People. That song saved me and contunues to save me when I need it the most.

Yes, so do I. I know when a music piece makes me feel a particular way, but I enjoy learning the reasons WHY it does. Musical theory, influences, production choices and techniques, etc. It makes me appreciate the artistry in a song even more.

I love the fact that you guys mention that we don't have to know the language to capture the vibe and the feeling of what he's rapping about. And that's absolutely true. Music goes way beyond language barrier. His solo projects might be my favorite from all the seven. Because his skills as a producer are all over Agust D (1st project), D-2 and D-Day, he really went above and beyond and at the same time his albums are so personal and talk about all hus struggles with anxiety and mental health. I can honestly say his songs, specially from his 3rd album D-Day saved me from a very difficult situation. I'm very glad you're covering his solo work. Can't wait for you to cover more members and BTS group Songs!!!!!!

The rap line are our main writers and producers for all of BTS music not just their own solo work. They have others that help them, but it is rare to find at least one of those three are not on it out of 200+ discography that is just the group they have very few songs that they don’t have a hand in and I can’t wait for you to meet J-Hope 18:07
