AGUST D is his alter ego outside of BTS in his individual work, in rapline songs he's still SUGA. I personally don't like jaeguchi that much cause they translate the videos so quickly that it is sometimes not that precise to what is actually being said, also in this one they even used the audio from the mv (thats why there was a long pause) and not the official audio - if you're going to react to the other songs on this mixtape I recommend Zaty Farhani EDIT: I would also like to add that even though the historical references are real and very interesting, what the explanation video said about the king being the other companies is wrong. Yoongi himself said in the behind the scenes and interview that both the king and the peasant represent himself and his struggle with identity/fame/success. He said that the king was the old him (that released the mixtape 4 years ago) meanwhile the peasant was his present self. Sure, he is rightfully proud of what he has achieved despite starting out as an underdog from humble beginnings but it is like there is a part of him he recognises as being cocky/overconfident that he wants to get rid of which is why he shoots the king. Also by killing his king self who was sort of bragging that he was at the top, he is like going back to his old self like an affirmation of why he started music in the first place and why he loves it. The last verse kinda indicates this when he says there is nowhere higher for him to go and all he wants now is to keep his feet on the ground.

Jimin and Jungkook have martial arts backgrounds. Suga learned that sword dance in 2 days. That is part of the allure of BTS: songs that are pretty or nice on the surface but if you take the time to look a little bit, the complexity of the lyrics is so vast. That's why when you ask most ARMY the messages that the lyrics give us are the most important. RM once in a vlive talked about how even he does this: just listen to a beat for a song and ignore the lyrics. He says he writes the lyrics for us, so we won't pass them up and listen to their full meaning.

Yoongi said that Bang PD lets them do what they want with their mixtapes and doesn't censor them. I think the explanation for hyunta is pretty reasonable and not so shocking considering that in the first AD mixtape, he already rapped that his tongue technology will "take you to Hongkong", which is a euphemism for making you reach 0rgasm.

This is one of the things I loooove the most about BTS's rap line. They LOVE wordplay and using Korean words that have multiple meanings to relay different thoughts. (Listen to Ddaeng! That song had ARMY translators STRUGGLING because there were SO many references and wordplay.) The first thing I learned as an ARMY is to ALWAYS look for translations and explanations to their references and metaphors because, and this is something we say in the fandom, they really have "galaxy brains". Their minds and their capacity to play with words that are somehow easily digestable but, upon closer look, turn out to have such deep, complex meanings and layers to them. And there are nuances of some words in Korean that don't always translate well in English. Sometimes what I do for new releases is listen to the song first without reading the translation, and just enjoy the music first. And then listen again while reading the lyrics. That way I can almost experience the song for the first time, twice.

Suga is Yoongi's Bts persona. Agust D is his underground rapper persona that he had even before being in Bts. It's actually Suga spelt backwards. Notice the lack of Bighit intro? That's important to note. It means in this case BH's role is strictly marketing. You'll see the name Gloss as well for a couple of Yoongi's really really early underground work.

As his stage name for BTS is suga, the name he uses when releasing his mix tapes is Agust D. I think you would love the track 'strange' of the D-2 mixtape. Especially the lyrical content and RM who features on the track. Suga impresses me most with his raw honesty next to his skill. Daechwita is more of a hype track(but still has significant meaning as explained by DKDKTV), but strange, moonlight and dear my friend showcase more of his diversity and inner workings. Recommend 'what do you think' if you enjoy him going hard on his haters. Little comment on Them staying true to themselves: the explanation from DKDKTV touches on their respectful but surprisingly casual and friendly relationship with the ceo Bang PD.That man's vision of letting BTS tell what matters to them in their music is part of what makes them so great and more in control of their content.

I'm sure you have already read all the comments, but the flow that you like referring to it as a Busta Rhymes flow; when you get even more into BTS Rapline there is a song called Daeng. RM actually does this same flow in that song and they have done that song live twice. There is also an Explain video for the meaning Daeng by DKDKTV. As I said I'm pretty sure many people have already said that but Daeng is a damn good song, everyone does their thing and the many meanings within that song are insane. I enjoy watching your videos and I like your authenticity when reacting.

Omg! TYSM for reacting to AGUSTD!!! D2 is my absolute fave release this past year! ...and Daechwita is beyond fire!🌋 Min Yoongi Pd Genius! 🔥 Jjangjjangmanboongboong!♥️💜 ps: in case nobody mentioned it: 1. Yoongi ~ no martial arts background as far as we know. 2. Yoongi asked Jimin to teach him how to sword dance; Jiminie laughed... so Yoongi learned how to sword dance from a sword master/instructor. 3. Jimin and Jungkook definitely have martial arts backgrounds. Jimin ~ taekwondo , kendo, and geomdo. Jungkook ~ taekwondo. 4. Min Yoongi is a descendant of a royal bloodline. 5. Taehyung and Jin are also descendants of royalty. 6. The gun is a Colt Army #1860 7. Yoongi has said he knows he has ARMY with him and it’s so reassuring. 😉

The thing I respect the most about BTS's music is that it makes the listener want to do research. It almost becomes an afterthought that you've become accustomed to doing homework on music, because you care so much about receiving all of the message. Honestly, it's phenomenal the things ARMYs have educated themselves on, at all ages, to better understand the complexity of what we're consuming. Knowledge is truly power. This is how being an ARMY became a lifestyle choice, not a passing phase 😅💜 I really enjoy your videos, they give me comfort and make me feel less crazy for diving so deep into this. It adds to my pride of being a lifelong student of hip-hop. Thank you for contributing to this platform.

I think, with Min Yoongi, what people need to understand is that within his body there reside three different personas that are mixed together - his private self, Min Yoongi, BTS´s Suga and then last but not the least AgustD. When he lets his AgustD out, there are no restrains on him:-) The thing with BTS rap line is, RM is the most visible of them all, being a leader and spokesperson of BTS, one that speaks and express himself constantly, both in Korean and in English, he is noticed automatically the most. Most non-Asian people manage to recognize his face first also ( strange but true) and his voice can´t be missed either. It was like that for me too, at the beginning, I adored Jimin and RM most - one being an angelic flirt and a super dancer, the other an intellectual, classy, responsible and polished pillar of BTS. Suga on the other hand is not very upfront, J-Hope then with his vibrant persona is pushed easily on the side as a light weight. That´s how it has been for me for months and months. Then somehow, Suga started to grow on me more and more, and I was becoming fascinated by him. Then when I saw Outro:Tear in Wembley, I was floored by J-Hope performance. Simply sensational. Equation started to shift for me, slowly but surely. Then I "discovered" AgustD and his mix tape and I got snatched for good. He simply abducted me, lol. I can´t even describe what this man´s cadence, tonality of his voice, or his lyrics with raw, unfiltered emotions expressed by him do to me. He has become my ultimate bias and and JK is today my bias wrecker:-) What is great with BTS, everyone can find what they need because all the guys are so multilayered and very strong in their individualistic expressiveness. For me, it is all about authenticity, courage, raw, unpolished, uncensored simple notions of life expressed so brilliantly in his songs. He pierces directly to my emotional body and that´s what makes me stay and stay and stay...I could wax lyrical about this guy for hours, the more I learn about him, stronger and larger my love and respect of him gets. You should go and listen to his "First love" or " So far away" or "The last" or the whole D2 mix tape ( released a week ago). He is a real deal. RM is called Korea´s Nas, Suga goes under Korea´s Eminem:-) Not sure what Hobi could be called :-) They all are beyond great.... D-2 mix tape was written by Yoongi, produced and recorded fully by Yoongi and he also worked on a script for this MV.

Ohhhhhh noooo :s DDKTV dropped an explanation but... K-ARMY are really mad cause a few inaccuracies and misinterpretations from it. Yoongi wasn't flexing like... at all! It's good to watch it but only if you have already heard Korean ARMY explaining and translating it? For baby ARMY is maybe not the best. You need to do your own research! I don't agree with many ARMYs who think the channel is anti. That's not true but they miss a few details that are extremely imoportant. Like presenting Yoongi as flexing on that song when he clearly isn't! He's mocking 'flexing'. He ends up killing the tyrant I mean.. -_-

Agust D (solo work) and Suga (BTS) are two different personas of the same person. A fan argued Agust D is not BTS..but come on, his time, exposures and experiences with BTS certainly contributed to his growth as an artist which is esp evident in his lyrics, right from his first mixtape. I rather think of Agust D and Suga as a synergy drawing on each other for their respective works.

IN SIMPLY TERMS HE IS BASICALLY FIGHTING TO TRY STAYING HUMBLE AS A GROWING ARTIST / RAPPER BY CONFRONTING IS PAST SELF WHILE STILL REMEMBERING WHERE HE COMES FROM. For anyone who doesn’t know or recoginze him, he’s SUGA south korean lead rapper of BTS a globally famous male kpop group, this is his solo alter-ego which is straight raw K-HipHop/Rap even though BTS members are present (Hiding In Plain Sight Lol) It isn’t a kpop song. It’s self-produced solo mixtape, if you haven’t seen his first one; Its 2016 ‘AGUSTD’ mixtape. OMG MY BOY HAS COME AND GONE LIKE A PRO AFTER JUST PLACING HATERS ONCE AGAIN IN THEIR PLACE ON TOP OF SLAYING HIS ARMY 👀🙀 WITH HIS BLACK HAIR AND VISUALS (PAST AGUSTD VS PRESENT AGUST D) Dont even get me started with the fits! I don’t know about anyone else but I was holding my breathe the whole time seeing him getting up from the throne walking into the palace, bodies on the ground, 😳 JINKOOK FIGHTING IN BACKGROUND, ALL OF BTS PRESENT, brings a modern car into traditional dynasty while battling his inner-self then goes into nasty slow flow rap like RM did in DDAENG while tied up & blindfolded - I literally on the edge of my seat when he being taken what looked like he was going to be beheaded and AGUSTD is showing off his sword skills then Suga bomb takes the gun and turns around kills the evil side of himself like a boss 😎 I noticed he used some beats and allot of phrases that he did in his BTS comeback interlude: SHADOW. The more I watch, it keeps me remembering how he loves scarface and reminds me abit of scar from lion king with traditional mortal kombat vibes. THE BLACK FIGURES BEHIND SUGA PRESENT US THE BTS ARMY, HE BASICALLY SAYING GOODBYE TO HIS PAST BECAUSE HES READY TO MOVE ON TO A NEW CHAPTER OF HIS LIFE *Daechwita is a korean form of marching music that old armies used as they marched into battle or kingly procession; his old & current self fighting for domination. During his first mixtape he makes many references on how SUGA (stage name) kills Min Yoongi which is his true identity. Now, Agust D the raw savage side kills off the king and SUGA sits down from royalty (if i’m not mistaken, last emperor of the country). The concept/theme is a traditional dynasty where the long hair is indication of wealth and Agust D shown dressed in authentic kingly garments, It was also strongly frowned upon or forbidden anyone with scars could never be royalty but with track & music video AgustD/Suga breaks that stereotype by having a large visible scar down across his eye which expresses even people with scars can be royal on top of showing how powerful his presence is. Also regarding the scar it reminds me of kdrama Scarlet Heart: Rreyo 4th prince where he had a scar but became king despite of it.* THE PHRASES “I born a tiger I ain’t no weak pill popper like you”, he was born to be true to his craft not stray from it 😝 ... “We so fly we so fly private jet we so fly”, he’s talking about his brothers BTS then you see him bump into Jin (in a beard? Lol) turns for a second and jungkook accidentally gets hit in the face with the fishing pole that Jin is holding & they pretend to fight ... “off with their heads”, he doesn’t mean literally cutting their heads off but more or less he’s biting their heads off with his words. Hahahaha you know he’s not Yoongi when he DISSing justin timberlake, when he says “cry me a river you just got no skills”! #AGUSTD2 #BTS #Confrontation #Daechwita
