Jayda Coleman - 3 Rings, 3 Years! It’s a Cole World for the Oklahoma Sooners Softball Star!

Спорт

Jayda Coleman’s Personality will Engage you, Her accomplishments will Amaze You! 3 Years, 3 Rings, 3 Titles! Big12 Player of the Year, Gatorade National Player of the Year, State Champion, #1 Recruit in the Country, 6-Time All-State, 3-Time All-American, Homecoming Queen, Team USA Gold…the list goes on and on! Since Jayda arrived at OU, the Sooners are 176-8 on a 53-game winning streak with 3 National Championships and a level of domination we have rarely seen. Could a 4-peat be in the balance in a perfect college career. She’s the first to credit her amazing teammates, like her tag team partner Tiare Jennings, and her G.O.A.T Coach, Patty Gasso. This year, Jayda upped her Home Run total for the team lead with increased strength and power but still protected that impressive batting average at the top of the lineup. She comes from an awesome family of athletes. Both parents played collegiately and have been lifetime coaches to their SuperStar who started playing softball at 4! Mom beat cancer and Jayda beat everybody else!
OU is built on the tradition of their football program and winning breeds winning as both Softball and Women’s Gymnastics have won Nattys the last 2 years. Jayda has a special relationship with football’s Billy Bowman, Jr. that goes back to High School where he won State at Denton Ryan. The Question is… who owns the lifetime competitive series? The Best part of Jayda’s game might be the celebrations, her energy, and the breathtaking catches! It’s a No-Fly Zone! We’re all living in a Cole World!

    I cannot imagine Jayda Coleman being nervous or having butterflies. She catches more fly balls and hit some more homeruns in her sleep than most players do on the field. She seems to be a very fine woman and very fun to watch play. BOOMER SOONER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    They could be the best team in College history. That sounds unbelievable but they are so good all the way. They all can hit. I mean any team will have one or two superstars but the whole team are superstars. Can’t pitch around one cause the next is just as dangerous. Very solid on defense. Great pitching and Jordie Bahl is my favorite pitcher. She has good speed and good control and intimidating. I watch them for the last three years and I think they are almost unstoppable. Go Sooners

    The thing that stands out for me is Jayda's enthusiasm. I remember watching a game early in her freshman year and a ball was hit into short left-center. She came sprinting in but the left fielder, Mendes maybe, can't remember who it was, got there first and made a really fine lunging catch. Out of sheer joy for the effort and skill of her teammate, Coleman leaped about 4 feet off the ground and started cheering. I knew then that this girl had that special something in her heart, that she was a team player, the kind you want on the field with you every practice, every game. And what's remarkable is that she hasn't lost any of that enthusiasm for the game and her teammates, even after being a central part of three national championships. She is just an amazing player and seems like a wonderfully sweet young woman to boot. It's been so much fun to see her representing OU.

    I absolutely love the May and Coleman side by side picture! Two dynamic players! That one should be for sale. 4 peat ladies. Who needs transfers when we, OU, have the best coming out of high school. Transfers take the joy out of winning.

    Wow wouldn’t that had been something awesome if jayda was a pitcher lol. Nicole Mendez came in in the super regionals from outfield and pitched. Could happen

  • @gmb858

    @gmb858

    It would be for sure. Nicole Mendes pitched in a "spot" situation. She had a good drop ball and got more ground balls than fly-outs. Both "G" Juarez and Shannon Saile were "rise ball" pitchers that induced a flyball. In 2023 the Sooners had 3 legitimate starters with heavy experience. 2024 is shaping up to have 2 seasoned starters in May and Kenney, and a star sophomore that has huge upside potential. Jayda would be a "playing card deep in the deck" to be played if the pitching staff faltered or there were injuries.

    Coleman, Jennings and May, the last starting freshman class. Playing for a coach that prefers transfers over recruits highlights just how great Coleman and Jennings are. It has been my hope since their freshman year that they would be the first ever 4 peat, and it still is, but Gasso's transfer portal mentality has sure dampened the joy of it. And now having lost Nugent, Erickson and Bahl because of transfers, the wins will not have the joy they should have. Recruits are our children. Transfers are not. Recruits deserve an honest competition amongst their peers. Transfers are not their peers. Recruits deserve a coach's respect and loyalty, having put their trust in that coach to come to OU. So yes, I'm ticked off at Gasso. I'm not the only one. And having our children Nugent, Erickson and Bahl running away from home, well, yeah, we are pissed off. There is a right way and a wrong way to win. Transfers over recruits is the wrong way.

  • @Oufanforever

    Which transfer caused Bahl to transfer? Hansen’s Covid year blocked Nugent’s playing time. Only Erickson’s transfer could possibly be related to a transfer coming in. No, recruits and transfers are all Sooners. They all decided to come to OU and play for the Sooners and deserve to be treated equally.
