Actually, fun fact: it is very difficult to keep a great white shark in captivity. They just don’t survive. The record for survival is just 44 days.

Kind of a fun fact, if I was able to make a horror movie, I would legit approach James for a role.
If you look closely, you can see the chewed up body of the guy in the control room floating to the floor. The shark dropped him after not being able to swallow him due to Fitzroice already in her mouth. Actually a fine attention to detail all considered.

You are correct, James, when you say sharks cannot - in point of fact - swim backwards. In reality, if you can manage to somehow drag a shark backwards, you will effectively drown it similarly to shooting water continuously up a human's nasal passageways so to speak.

wait so "connected to the open ocean" Sea World is in Orlando in central Florida, miles from any major body water (like a 2-3 hour drive?) and this movie acts like it's right on the Atlantic but like, theres no way a shark could swim into the park geographically it makes no sense

Exactly. They picked the most inland part of Florida and were like “yeah mans swam 100+ miles in a tube” LIKE THATS NOT HOW SHARKS WORK. I don’t understand why they didn’t go with MarineLand, which is right on the coast, if they’re so desperate for a theme park jaws film
Dude you're killing it with your commentary I am sitting here crying as I listen xD

I've kinda taken the whole 'whoOoOoOo' thing and use it whenever my daughter loses her balance or trips. She finds it pretty hilarious 😁
The only thing I really remember about this movie was the scene where Kathryn and Mike are moving around the shark, right after it was tranquilized, and Kathryn says something like "This is the first time you've worked with me." To Mike. So he responds "It's thrilling." and then for some reason he grunts. It was just really weird for the scenario.
I'd like to joke that Jaws 3D did more damage to SeaWorld's reputation than Blackfish did, but that'd be giving Jaws 3D's legacy way too much credit.

Boring fact: this was the first movie I ever "saw" in theaters. My mom wanted to see it. I had just turned two years old. She had no babysitter and she was worried I might cry at some point and ruin it, but she took me along anyway. I fell asleep immediately and slept through the whole thing.
Why did I think the thumbnail pic was a sock puppet? Edit: I’m am fully aware that it’s a mascot-

10:38 fun fact, everytime a Great White has been held in captivity it has died within a few weeks because they get depressed
@ultimapower6950

And that is why osha would murder this movie
@xBloodxFangx
3 жыл бұрын
Sharks do not feel feelings like humans, they do not get depressed. The reason the great white died in captivity is cause they need to be swimming at a certain speed in vast open ocean and doing so constantly to breath, and no aquarium or marine park has a space big enough for a great white to be swimming fast enough and for long enough with out needing to turn to keep breathing.

My guess, the corral thieves were there on behalf of "Phil's aquarium supplies". He saw some good looking corral in the lagoon, asked two guys if they wanted some extra money. Wasn't even rare corral, it was nice looking and might sell well with a new aquarium.
