@@BoxingB0oda ok so to very simply refute that point, which is the same as Rodri's....Arsenal picked up 1 point from Fulham and Villa this season which had a far greater impact on their total points tally than the draw at City. I totally agree that it is Arsenal's mentality which cost them in the end, but what you and Rodri are missing is that it was not their mentality at the Etihad which did it. It was their mentality in other games which had a much greater bearing.

Jamie O Hara is holding grudge for not making it at Arsenal Academy. Of course he is a failure. How many trophies did Jamie won in his entire career? Flop.

City’s consistent run in streak is testament to how poor the rest of the league is. Only Liverpool and Arsenal stopped them from winning since the turn of the year.

What kind of a winning mentality do you have when you literally parked the bus home and away and barely scraped a deflection goal When you go to the Etihad and Anfield and produce the most boring matches of the season, losing 4 points willingly, that's not winning mentality Man city and Liverpool whenever they face each other, they go neck to neck, attacking each other even in away games no matter what Man city at least tried to win at the Emirates while not having the most important players to the team and barely lost to a counter attack deflection goal You lost 4 point at the Etihad and Anfield willingly and you literally knew it even before the ball was kicked, where against villa, it was a surprise...that's the difference That's why people respected Liverpool/city more even when loosing, more than the respect for you playing such a horrible style while being a supposed "title contender" On god i was so sure even when arsenal where leading ahead of city by 5 points that they would never win the league, the mentality is what mattered and you didn't show a winners one So yeah congrats on your 4 points of Liverpool and city, still lost the league when it was all in your hands

We lost because of poor results to Fulham, West Ham, and Villa. One extra win is all it would've taken to win the league. Yes, qualifying comfortably to the ucl either you're 2nd or 5th has no meaning Winning the league, qualifying for European competitions and escaping relegation due have more meaning that being a runner up and 3rd or being in mid table At the end, all you did this season was just like what aston villa did, both qualified for ucl and both were embarrassing at Anfield/Etihad That's why people respect Liverpool even while hating them more than arsenal, at least they show character even while not winning

This is just a cheap parting shot. We should have won this weeks before. Our top scorer was a wide player in Saka with a mere 16 goals amid a barrage of missed chances upfront, mainly provided by Ødegaard.

City had never won the league before n Utd were dominating the league similar to how city are now. Won both home n away including the 6-1. Utd were clear favourites to win but going to the champions and slapping them up shows you ain’t scared and serious about winning the PL. Winning the PL is a mental game which I speak from experience. Arsenal need to learn from this if they want to win something. Rodri is absolutely correct. Played for a draw, parked the bus. Remember that Arsenal were at their peak at that moment, and City were underperforming. Haaland was being ridiculed.

Arsenal are not a fortress at the Emirates that was the problem of the season. The only problem. Those defeats at home were just unacceptable, the real crux.

Rodri should shut his trap. All those draws against Liverpool, Tottenham, Chelsea and Arsenal. That's 8 points dropped. Couldn't manage a single win against Liverpool, arsenal or Chelsea. Take your win, shut up and sit down. Arsenal outclassed, outperformed and out did City in every possible aspect this season. City just got lucky. And luck always runs out.

Rodri wasn't talking about the Villa game. He was talking about their home game against Arsenal, even though Arsenal had more shots on target than they did.

As a City fan, while going head to head with Klopp, neither team ever played for a draw. LFC always came out guns blazing for the win and so did City. Most times they nullified one another and drew, but they always played to win every game in the PL regardless of the opponent. Had Arsenal done the same, I have no doubt given how well they were playing at that time and how shaky we were, they’d have likely beaten us, knocking us out of the title teams and even with them losing to AV, they’d still have won the title. To win titles, you have to play to win every game and Arsenal just proved with such slim margins, playing for the draw can cost you everything …

A gunner here, I agree with you. I think we should’ve gone for the win at the Etihad but I understand why Arteta wanted to play safe. Far too many times have we fallen apart at the Etihad, as good as we looked when faced each other I don’t think we were ready to fully take on Man city. However, next season I have no doubt Arteta is going to be aiming for the win.

@@yokermn Fair play. I’ll be honest, going into that game, I was like, were probably gonna lose this, especially given the form you were vs to how poor inconsistent se had been. But it all comes down to fine margins which is what makes this game so amazing and so terrible. I will say this, you def didn’t bottle it like some people are saying. Not at all and if you hear ir read it, it’s just a fools opinion and is false anyway.

Rodri was right ....to get a draw at Man City is not a bad result however playing for a draw before a ball is kicked is q bad mentality to have ....it shows that Arsenal manager and their players have an inferiority complex....the game ending in a draw and playing for a draw are two different things
