Jason Becker - How Eye Communicate

Музыка

This is how I communicate. I prefer this to any computer system because it is way faster, and I don't have a computer in front of my face. Once people memorize it, there is nothing between us. It is also good for when the power goes out. I think I still have strong eye muscles because I am constantly exercising them. They got weak when I have tried using a computer to communicate. Using computers to communicate is great for some people. Whatever works. I met the great Stephen Hawking. His system is fantastic for prepared speeches, but my system was a lot faster for regular, spontaneous conversation. Some people with ALS use my dad's system, and that makes us happy. We want anyone who needs it to have it.
You can donate to the Jason Becker Special Needs Trust via this link: www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted...
All donations go directly to assisting Jason and his family in their ongoing battle against ALS.

He wrote a lot of the music on his latest album, including the composition, lyrics and solos in this song. It's the closest we'll get, and it's wonderful, I highly recommend it if you haven't listened yet! kzread.info/dash/bejne/l2yeo7OQoLKXccY.html

Hey man i just got Altitudes, Perpetual Burn and training Serrana! things are easier here because i have a ibanez GRG ( becauseb of the easier acess to the frets) but just train hard and you nail this song! Train the 1st arpeggio solo more than the other parts of this song. Just train part by part! Good training! :)

You may take away a musician's hands, but you can never take away his musical soul! All he needs is a way to hook his mind into an instrument...Plus, composition should not be impossible for such a voracious talent such as his!

I can envision how the elegance of this system could be replicated with some combination of a HUD and eye tracking tech. A machine could do the interpreting and speaking. I hope your dad got a patent for this idea.

Jason has an incredible sense of humor and strength. I know if this were me in his unfortunate and tragic predicament, God knows I would pray for someone to put me out of my misery. The idea of literally being trapped within your own body unable to move, speak, or interact with anything or anyone is frightening. I simply cannot even imagine he reality of being mentally sharp, knowing there is nothing you can do to change the circumstance.

Jason is an absolute inspiration. Since becoming disabled I can't play my instruments, so I'd love to know what gear (samples, etc) Jason uses to make such great sounds. I have an MPC (designed for rap & hip hop and I'm an old rocker!) That I've fumbled with. Hearing Jason's compositions has inspired me to keep trying!

I dunno. This whole ASL disease terrifies the hell out of me. And at the same time I kinda look at Jason in awe. There's something superbly cool about him. What's more is that, those famous musicians are keeping him in the loop and doing what they can to make him feel a part of it all... and Jason... man, he still enjoys guitar. I imagine it's friggin' hard even to this day. But man, I gotta hand it to this guy.

Hello Jason, that looks like an efficient system. My question is could it be made faster if you were to group the letters by letter frequency e.g. e t a o in one square, i n s h in another etc. or do you prefer alphabetical order?

With so much technological advancement I'm wondering if this same grid can be digitalised and then given a voice! That would be amazing! Not really impossible engineering! Plus they can develop same system for guitar chords or notes and strings (six grids and 12 notes) to have him point to the note to give out tonality - it would make him happy too! Maybe. Absolutely respect his dad and adore the team :)

HI jason. I just want to tell you deafblind comunication very similar :) if people don't know sign language, there is a card like but it one letter in each square a and they put someone finger on each letter. I think would be faster with 4 letters. wonder if there is a way to teach like anyone this? and how fast do they learn it? the card like a 4 by 6 card with braille and priint letters. sounds like word order like American sign language. I play 8 instruments im deafblind have Cerebral palsy miled but still it sucks! LOL! not that bad.. hehehe HI gary.

Hello Mr. Becker. How are you today? Let me direct my message. I am attracted to all your music, I met you thanks to a friend who is a great admirer of yours. From what I heard the first time, I felt a lot of dynamism, a lot of euphoria, a lot of energy in his music. I also want to tell you that what you do fills me with joy, your music is magical. I feel like a better person, more attentive and friendly. I am very grateful for it. I regret what happened in your life, I would like to be the one who has gone through what you have experienced, and not you. I finish my message, I retire, I hope I have not taken time from your valuable life. I wish you a very happy day. Until next time, Mr. Becker. Best regards, KindlyChat.
