Certainly refreshing and reassuring Elena is trying to improve on clay with her strokes and movements today,hopefully she will prevail against Anna next round .She remains one of my favorite athlete and pray she is healthy and enjoy watching this elegant and beautiful lady in action.❤

Thank you WTA video Elena Ribakina is Jashine Paolini brilliant compliment.

The fans can be so horrible at times. Jasmine was playing well, she lost the tie break and then fans all went flat. It was so hard to watch . Elena kept her cool when they were so raucous. Good for her.

They wanted the Italian to win, but, she choked; they were also charmed by Elena, so, Jasmine lost their active support. Can't blame them, Elena's play is just mesmerizing.

Paolini was playing a great match, but she had tension in last part of tiebreak. In the second set she couldn't play at the same level

Rybakina plays much more like Zverev than like Federer. Big serve, big long groundstrokes with long arms.

@@potzysk2 Maybe yes. I was referring to her beautiful forehand, preciseness of serve (doesn't miss like zverev), and plays a brilliant approach shot, drive volley and is great at the net. It is this aspect of her game I was referring to. Is that not correct?

I think mental skills plays a big role in this match. That skills separate these two players. Paolini played great in the first set but suddenly collapsed and unable to sustain that strong start.

Sometimes Rybakina seems slow to get going and that is something that can cost against better opponents. In common with most big hitters slow red clay doesn't suit her but her all round game is good enough to still be a threat.

Rybakina has no problem with unforced like commentary people said along the match she has problem with clay gotta play 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 15 shots cuz that's clay as much as powerful you hit isn't always enough she does even more unforced on hcs but doesn't need to play 300 shots a match and the power works way better and lawn is another thing unique characteristics and she's familiarized with some of them.

Yes at that time you had goat Henin, Clijsters & even Serena & Stosur were good on clay. Still Sharapova managed to win a few.

Elena needs to introduce more short balls and slice into her game for clay surfaces as they allow smaller, faster players to stay in points for longer (by staying 2m behind the baseline till they run out of steam). Unfortunately, clay is the largest part of the season so she has to adapt to such slow surfaces to allow moving through the draw with as little energy expenditure as possible.

Really like Rybakina's game. On most surfaces, if she's at 80 percent, she's not losing. Such an attractive, exciting game, too.

I like Rybakina when she plays well, but she is too inconsistent. Her game is a thing of beauty when is flowing, but her unforced errors are too high. I hope she works in that, maybe not going for the lines in so narrow margins. I think Kalinskaya will get her again in the next round.

There is no "o" in her name, so why do you think there would be an "o" in the pronunciation? It's Ree-BAH-kina according to Elena herself.

Congrats to Rybakina but I don’t think she played at 100% level. It was more of 70%. But she is coming back from An injury so I hope she find form again as she did in the AO and The sunshine double tournaments. Congrats to Elena!!🥳. tough loss for Jasmine but she played well. She just is not good enough to beat rybakina, I’m sorry but it true in my opinion.
