For anyone wondering why this one is short, it’s because this is the second time he’s done this. His first video is way longer with a lot more films.

Good cause I saw no My So Called Life
I look at him as a man on his thirties then he talks about making movies in the 90s on his twenties and suddenly I remeber he's turning 50 NEXT MONTH.

To say that film is a hidden gem is an understatement in every sense of the word. That movie is a masterpiece, profoundly deep and complex, something that'll never be fully understood. It's Leto's magnum opus, it's simply art.
@MikeMJPMUNCH

I think he covered that one in his GQ breaking down of his most iconic characters
@BroughtCat
2 жыл бұрын
@@MikeMJPMUNCH Yeah you're right, but I wished he talked about it here more because I feel like Mr. Nobody exists in this weird space of being one of Leto's more neglected movies of his filmography (everyone always goes to requiem for a dream and Dallas buyers club). However on the flip side more film connoisseurs are aware of the film especially online. There's entire video and written essays dedicated to the film as there should be, it's a masterful piece in filmmaking, showing peak human creativity.

The soundtrack is beautiful
If you are surprised that he is a good actor, then it is clear you’ve only seen in him as the Joker. Which to me, it wasn’t even bad. I believe it was more related with the aesthetics of the film and comparing it to the Nolan films that drew the criticism. But if you see his much earlier roles, Requiem for a Dream, Mr. Nobody, Dallas Buyers Club you’d know the man is committed and talented.

Search up about his controversy on his method acting with his role Joker. You'll see what his co-stars had said about him. Not so much of a "good actor." Even Morbius as well. He is a d!ck head.
Requiem for a dream is a masterpiece, stuck with me since the very first watch about 10 years ago already. No other movie made me so disturbed and shocked like that movie did, so beautifully! That's when I got to know Jared's name, incredible actor, extraordinary musician! He's an artist, he creates he leaves his mark on every project he does!

The only thing bad about this interview is that it ended.
Why was his timeline so short. So many great projects not even shown on it, not to mention why so few films were actually covered? To not start with My So Called Life seemed odd.

I used to *love* him (and 30STM). And then I met him. Nearly didn't go to the gig I had already paid for. That single experience put me off of him and his music for good (though, admittedly, the music had definitely reached and passed its prime).
