So interesting!!!! I made up my own slang accidentally once too like Rachel haha! I was hiking with my Japanese boyfriend and he pretended to push me off the edge of a cliff and I was so surprised i shouted "yabunai" like abunai 危ない and yabai ヤバイ mixed together haha XD now we use that new word all the time lol some of our friends use it too around us 😂

Fun fact: Today I learned that it is physically impossible to get a paper plate of spaghetti to fall spaghetti side down. Try it. Or don't, because it stains floors really quickly. Which is another thing I learned today.

Here in Quebec, "excepté une fois au chalet" popped up as a joke related to doing anything embarrassing. It came from an arguably more serious incident - an aging child abuser accidentally confessing to a cameraman by saying 'I never molested my daughters, except for that one time at the family cabin', but the absolutely thoughtless nature of that confession struck local minds as being meme-worthy. So now, if you want to use that in its meme format, you might say something like "J'ai jamais utilisé le mode Assistance à Mario Kart 8, excepté une fois au chalet." In English, that would translate as 'I've never used Assist Mode in Mario Kart 8 before, except for that one time at the family cabin.'

in italy we use a lot of english slang. however, we tend to take english verb,as for example to tag, and we add the suffix for the infinite(first conjugation -Are) turning the verb a little bit more italian: taggare, googlare, chattare... and then you can also conjugate them in a phrase like normal verbs.

2:08 In the Philippines, we also had a sort of syllabic system called "abakada" before it was replaced with the Philippine alphabet. Basically, it was all of the alphabet minus c and f plus ñ and ng, with either a or e or I, mostly a, after each letter. For example: a, ba, ka, da, e, ga, ha, i. Since our words are still structured the same way regardless, modern Filipino texting is made up of abbreviations of these letters like: kmin k n b/kknb? Which means "kumain ka na ba?" or "have you eaten yet?" A popular movie/book that uses this kind of slang is "ABNKKBSNPLAKO" which stands for "Aba Nakakabasa Na Pala Ako" which can be translated as "Oh look/ Oh my, I can read now". Because of this, gg is no longer a friendly term between gamers; instead, it is an insult similar to the word idiot. 😅

I'd like to add something else to "Nihongo de OK", which happened to me while watching live streams in Nico Nico Douga. Because I was young and stupid, I made the mistake of commenting something in English a few times. As a result, the streams used to get flooded with "Nihongo de OK". Thus, I think I can safely say it's a... rude-yet-polite way to say "Only write in Japanese or shut the f*** off" 😅

Tais Adonis, that's the meaning I know of. I got quite confused with Jun explanation because of NND's usage of it.

It's not really internet slang but the Dutch language especially among friends in general seems very rude and coarse, thus there are a lot of words that seem internet-ish. For example we have the term 'mierenneuker' which means antfucker, it's used to refer to people who make an issue about small or irrelevant details, it's a ruder version of nitpicker.

Inderdaad! Wat ik bedoel is dat Nederlands over het algemeen gewoon wat meer 'bot' aanvoelt? Wat meer ruig dan andere talen, Vlaams en Limburgse accenten zijn een wat meer 'zachtgesproken' versie van Nederlands waardoor ze voor Nederlanders ten Noorden van Limburg raar klinken.

That still happens to me on the wii. When you like move the yellow wire that plugs into the tv. (The red, white, and yellow wires) the screen would black out and u would have to put it at a certain angle for the screen to stay on. It is so annoying.
