Thanks for inviting me on the live stream and hope everyone got a nice introduction to Tohoku ramen!
Ramen and trains...top 10 "to do" list in Japan
I always enjoy watching the replay of your live streams; I am able watch them without the distraction of keeping my eyes on the chat.

Yes, I like that too, no moderating this time around. Just sit back. Glad I could fix the audio problems. Thankfully those new RODE wireless II mics record locally for download later! That's super useful.
thanks for fixing the audio and relisting -- a greater viewing experience and I've watched again! fun!
John thanks for this updated live stream. I enjoyed it very much. and it made me hungry. I hope you make more episodes with Cody. Nice person. Hello to Kanae and Leo. Stay Safe and keep smiling.🙏
The Niboshi Ramen noodles are making me hungry! Yum! Great episode!
Lived in Tohoku for many years. Funny that Ive met many Japanese that know very little about the region. Thanks for sharing.
It was nice revisit your trip with Cody. I learned a little more about the places you went to.
I want to put my ramen order in take train ride through Tohoku 🙂
Interesting! Wonderful streaming.✌️
Great livestream, John. I know how much you enjoy a good bowl of ramen. I remember your trip for ramen with Cody last year. Especially that one where you both were challenging each other on how many bowls of soba you both could eat. If you had to choose just one place for the best ramen, where would that be?
Planes Trains and Ramen brand new onuaku maybe.
Excellent commentary, and exposay!
i know Japan is the ramen capital of the world but here in the Philippines you can eat ramen called "Maming Gala" for only 15 pesos (35 Yen Equivalent) and that comes with unlimited soup refill ^_^

It's worth noting that goods (including food) in Japan generally cost more than the Philippines due to higher costs of raw materials, labor, and living expenses.

No hard feelings on Cody, I probably couldn't name half the counties in me home state of Washington.
Travel to Japan “Unlikely” in Fall 2021 due to Frightening Spike video - "It's not the right time to do live streams at a restaurant." Next video - Live stream ramen eating at the Japan Rail Cafe in Tokyo Station.

Totally different situation, we had the place to ourselves like a STUDIO. If I can get that level of access, I would consider it. It is about safety and how little risk I can put on my family and community. This is also in my neighborhood.

Trying present conditions and explain it away after someone has called out a questionable action is so in line with the mixed messaging that has plagued Japan, isn't it?
reupload again?

Reupload means upload again - this fixes the audio problems from before. KZread doesn't allow me to add corrections to videos with the same link like on VIMEO. Shame, for the viewer.
You can't bring back beef products to the US either.
He makes videos too long, and so annoying when talking too much, which is all the time.
Sit on the floor to eat noodles. No thanks.

Yeah, in Japanese homes, it's normal - but I'd like to have a little chair :)
