Just gotta respect what Lucas is doing and how much he's been grinding ahead of the many influencers/chefs we see out there. Someone who knows his roots/classics very well but also is adapting to the new methods of cooking. His growth over the few years has been fantastic! Always excited to watch his content.

I’ll take as much Lucas as I can get. He is the best thing in KZread food content. His ability to simultaneously convey curiosity and knowledge is so captivating.

​@@NatGeo Japanese & Korean people are extream health conscious. Besides why they take soy sauce with sushi, Sashimi, Kimbap to damage their kidney and heart? Do not they know high sodium in soy sauce very bad for kidneys?

Lucas was so great in this. I wanted him to have this experience, and I loved how he appreciated it and was able to convey so much to us. Surprise him again somewhere in the world - it's super fun.

The way Lucas can colorize and visualize taste with his words describing food is an absolute joy to watch. It’s like feeling that one scene in Ratatouille over and over again.

Being pregnant with HEAVY food aversions, the one thing I’ve been craving since the start was fresh sushi, this episode has me nothing short of pure envy!

Chef Lucas is always a pleasure to watch. He seems like he has a great personality and I think it translates very well to the viewer.

That was epic. The storytelling and the genuine interactions with the two chefs were awesome. I’d love to be part of the film crew for this series one day.

I want to dine here! I’ve been eating sushi for 52 years. First sushi experience: New Otani Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. When I saw mostly Japanese businessmen staying/eating there I knew I was in the right place. 🍣

We dined at Udatsu in late March 2024. The remarkable meal was every bit as incredible as Lucas describes and Chef Udatsu was gracious and good-humored!

This gotta be the best respect and representation of omakase sushi EVER

Went there 2 weeks ago for my first lunch in Tokyo and sat at the exact same spot as Lucas. We were transported so out of this world that both my friend and I forgot our backpacks at the restaurant. The host lady chased us down 3 blocks, carrying our backpacks with her kimono and wooden shoes effortlessly like a champ. Shout out to the entire hospitality team at Udatsu. And thanks, Lucas, for articulating your experience so nicely. I still struggle to make an adequate Instagram post to explain what happened after 2 weeks.

I Really like Chef Lucas Sin's cooking videos because they teaching us great stuff. But it was also really interesting to watch him as a "Student" of sorts. Because of my years in Japanese Martial Arts, I learned that Every Teacher is a Student, and Every Student is a Teacher. Plus the Main Chef in that Tokyo restaurant I found very creative yet traditional. It made me want to be in Japan eating right along side of Chef Lucas! Thank you again.
