In Japanese restaurant, what you said as rice cake is actually "Namahu" kinda gluten cake, and also on the soba that's not lime, it's "Sudachi" which is really popular citrus in Tokushima. They use Chasoba which is Green tea soba.

Thanks for info. Also Mikey is Chinese. I would have also mistaken those for limes. We’re all humans and make mistakes. I wouldn’t care to ask what I’m eating as long as it’s goood. Plus when u eat any noodles and your not slurping then you don’t know many Asian. I slurp all my fuking noodles and eat it with pride.

That coin prata is from the coffee shop at 24 Sin Ming Road, pretty awesome for a weekend breakfast or late night supper.
Mikey originally sold me on travelling to Japan for the food way back when and now he’s selling Singapore to me. I love these videos dude

Mikey, I've been watching your videos for a couple years and just want to say thank you. You've given me the courage to brave the local Asian supermarkets and broaden my foodie horizons. I made hot pot in my rice cooker. I picked up some dumplings and gave them a go. I tried sauces I can't pronounce. And then I pull up one of your vids while I eat, and it's like having dinner with a friend. Keep on inspiring, dude. You're amazing.
I definitely wanna go to the places for 70% for the food and 30% for the architecture of its history. 😂
Mikey in all the years I've been watching you I've never once seen you mess your shirt!....you are talented!
I absolutely love your videos and it's so sad that it's a car accident to have me sitting here with time to even watch anymore. Life is crazy and goes by so quickly never forget to cherish every moment everybody 💞

I was in Singapore two weeks ago, and I didnt even know about these places. I'm getting food regrets right now.
I’m going to Singapore in December. Glad you made a bunch of Singapore videos recently. I have a load of good places to munch at now. You’ve also helped with my travels to other parts of Asia. Thanks Mikey.
LOVE all your recent videos of Singapore cuisine. Heading there in Jan 2023 and will definitely refer to your videos for places to eat!!!

Amazing video Mikey, love to watch
In two days later, I’m going to a place in Fresno CA, and going to this restaurant and it’s called “Ramen Vs Pho”. It’s really good! And I hope you might like it. But that’s not all, there’s more Ramen restaurants in Fresno. If you go to each different places and you might like what they all have!
Watching/Listening to your videos as I do assignments. It's comfortable.
Mike Chen gets up so early, even the birds request him for a wake up call.
Oh my god mikey. Your food vlogs make my mouth water.imagine getting to be actually close to the food irl
Loved this Mikey ❤❤
Love your youtubes channels 🥰🥰 strictly dumpling and this one 😁

Yess! My sister and I just ate there because of mikeys video and it was delicious! Currently in singapore traveling from USA
Just came back from Seoul & craving for a good crispy fluffy Prata and thick Mutton Dahl curry
The way you describe food when you really like it brings me so much joy. It's like you are writing a love poem to the waygu lol. Seriously though, your enthusiasm is why I come to this channel. I like seeing the different cultures and the traditions and learning about the different ways people experience food, but i love your channel specifically because of your energy. There is a lot of negative stuff going on in the world and on the internet. Food is universal, we all eat food, it's a common ground every human can share, and they joy it gives you is a bright spot in my day, so thank you for that.
Looks delicious
I am so happy but surprised you finally getting into coffee so cool love coffee. Wait what can i get a link to the machta beer would love to try
Awesome video thank you 😊
That matcha jello looks so cool. Reminds me of (Flubber) the movie. lol. 💯
I am amazed how beautiful Singapore is and very Modern also
we will miss you in singapore!
Whenever I see his new video about Food in Singapore, I get so excited. Thanks Mike😊
Wooo! Right on time
thank you for helping me find food i can eat in my home town haha very helpful !!
Those fire ramen noodles look appetizing. We all hope to see more content like this.
Ugh, Mike, yer killin' me with all this great Singapore content, here! Someday...someday!
I really should know by now to not watch these videos while trying to go to sleep. Now I'm just hungry for all that tasty food. 😭
Always a pleasure 🙂
I think your radish bunny was really a radish rooster, ha ha. I love your videos, and am now starving at 9:30 AM, thanks, lol
Oh and while in Kyoto, make a trip to Uji where all the best matcha is from. Many restaurant there serving green tea based dishes. Once you alight at the station, you can smell the aroma of matcha hahahha
When you think Mike says "umami" too much, he finds and reads the word off the menu and now says "umami" 10x more now 😅😂
I always get hungry watching your videos 😅
Lol you're description of the Matcha pudding was intense lol 😆
The food gods blessed Mikey with a jackpot!
Love 💗 your Kyoto videos!! I would love to retire there 🎉❤😊

Misato food is really amazing !!! Real deal !
Work has been crazy ... when l catch your posts , it is usually late late after a full day , is that a wedding band ?
Sweet buttery toast, and the velvet egg yolk. Couldn’t have said it better
Love your videos! Can you also list places you stayed out? Planning a trip to singapore
Mike food vlog on Singapore is so much better than our local content creators. Buck up guys.
To be precise, it should be: Menbaka Fire Ramen @ The Centrepoint - Food Street Misato restaurant @ The Centrepoint Ebi Bar @ Cuppage Plaza
Love you man
I stumbled on his older Facebook videos and he used to describe food way better and seemed to be more into his content compared to now. He’s just pumping out videos and reusing the same terminology like “amazing” and “umami” 🙄 And wow, he has aged badly since Singapore… having a wife they spends all his money is taking a toll on him it seems.

Super yum, only have black bean sauce left, gotta use it up
Ideally if they grill shrimp/prawns whole, it's customary to consume the whole thing except tail. It's the crunch that makes it exceptional to eat.
Mackerel-fried karaage Mike: "There's mackerel in here" I mean...duh lol
Please give beach road prawn mee(at east coast road) and springleaf prata at rail mall a try! Fav place for prata as its super crispy and the fishcurry is muacks! But thats just me! Also, do give NBCB(nothing but cheeseburger) a try as well! Its super juicy from the patty itself and always a joy to eat to me :)
the jelly is pronounced konyaku on konjac you should know that you have been to japan enough
Happy birthday to you
Yum-o!!!
I got to do a trio there on my next asian trip
That worth the Trip!!!❤❤❤ Dude Yum🎉 That looks like a Bird to Me? LoL 😂
Hi always watching from nz ;)
Love this fire ramen but recently saw an accident with something like this in Taiwan where a boy was burnt badly and I’m a little scared to go back now 😅😅

The prata place should be Sin Ming Roti Prata located at 24 Sin Ming Road.
Yesssss
You're making my pregnancy cravings worse lol amazing as always!

In Tokyo, can go eat very exquisite tempura at “ Ginza Tenichi Shinjuku” located on the 7th floor of Shinjuku Isetan. Yummy. Worth every penny.
You should move to Singapore, You'd have so much food content and food history.
The only green gelatin like substance I've seen jiggle like that is Flubber.

It's called Sin Ming Roti Prata. At 24 Sin Ming Road.
Looks awesome as always! I have a question I hope someone can help me with. I am allergic to shell fish and fish. I have found a few dishes I want to make, what can I use to replace fish or oyster sauces?
@TF_NowWithExtraCharacters
Жыл бұрын
Look for vegetarian oyster sauce (it's mostly made out of mushrooms+soy), it's a good sauce to use all on its own. Otherwise, you can consider soaking kombu in soy sauce to impart some seafoody flavour, or check out Japanese stores for a premade one (no promises on the allergens though! That depends a lot on where and what you're getting). But if you're just looking for a rough approximation, regular soy sauce should work. I find that light soy sauce is in a similar ballpark as fish sauce, need to tweak with sugar.

Where is the prata place you went to?
I had to make a beef stew after watching this video lol.
Where's this prata shop?
What a guy.
I can’t take things that are too spicy anymore. But looks good.
