Japanese Blacksmith Tour 2023

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Hey folks, thanks for tuning in as always!
Todays video is a culmination of all the blacksmiths we got to visit on our last trip to Japan in April of 2023. Definitely our most jam packed trip to date, we had a blast visiting all of the smiths we haven't been able to see for the last couple years. With all of the travel bans we grabbed our passports and we're on out way!

I absolutely loved this video!! I watched it completely from start to finish (which says a lot given my ADD). Japanese knives and sharpening have been a major hobby of mine for the past few years. Going to Japan and seeing how knives are made was at the top of my bucket list for probably over 20 years. Sadly, because of complications from cancer and other related medical stuff it doesn’t look like I’ll be able to fulfill that dream. And so videos like these matter a lot more than you’d probably think. Keep up the awesome work you guys! If you ever get to making a longer, more detailed video or behind the scenes video I would definitely watch it. I wish I could have given this video 5 thumbs up. 😊
