similar thing that confuses me. so obviously trans people should be allowed to change their body to make themselves happy. twitter agrees with that. but if someone wants to change their weight, twitter says they're not accepted. i don't understand that logic to be honest.

Missed opportunity to reply "Listen, we aren't talking about your racial prejudices at the moment can we please stick to the topic at hand?" Whenever they do this shit, the best way to tilt them is to keep suggesting they are racist without actually saying it. No matter what explanation they give you just keep asking what their racism has to do with the topic. It's really funny to watch them unravel.

Acceptance is allowing someone else to be who they choose to be as long as it isn’t harmful. Those with more weight, myself included, can choose to be fine with themselves as long as they’re not so neglectful of themselves that it’s causing serious health issues. However, if you aren’t happy with how much weight you have, it’s entirely your choice to lose weight and eat healthy, just be sure to take your time and don’t push yourself too hard to the point of causing other health issues in the process. I’m proud of the cosplayer for doing what she felt was right and being disciplined enough to make that change.

I was a pretty large lad for many years. Still got a bit of a stomach, but losing weight has been such an amazing feeling. Back in 2019 I was 340. Some point in 2020 I was in the 290s. Haven't weighed myself since but I've gone down a few waist sizes so good enough for me. I get the sentiment behind the fatphobia thing, but it's just misguided. No one should be put down for their weight, but they shouldn't be encouraged to live unhealthy lifestyles either. At the end of the day, it will catch up with you and cause further health issues down the road. Anyone that's strong enough to lose weight and make good lifestyle choices get nothing but respect from me, it is not an easy thing to do when you're years into unhealthy ones.

I saw a korean girl who posts plus-sized outfits and how different jeans change her body shape, and all the comments when translated were like: "That fits you so well!" "You're beautiful!" with a flood of positivity. Meanwhile, I GUARANTEE, had that video hit western algorithms, or had a western woman posted content like that, her comments would be filled with horrid comments that I can't even begin to think of myself. I genuinely think because the west as a society has lost all of its rigidity, we have caused this. I'd love to hear the thoughts of others.
