Japan Vlog - Tokyo's Best Japanese Gardens
Ойындар
I am a huge fan of Japanese gardens, so while I lived in Tokyo, I visited them many times. I made this quick overview of some of the original Edo-era gardens, and a garden inspired by them, left in the center of Tokyo. Specifically, I'm visiting Shinjuku Gyoen, Kyu Shiba Rikyu, Hamarikyu, Koraku-en and Rikgui-en.

It is real... Right?
I'm not a huge planet coaster fan, so I only watch your videos every now and then, but I really really loved this video, so if you ever wanted to branch out and do a bit more irl gardens and architecture, for what it's worth, I would definitely watch them as this video was amazing! Maybe other subs of yours feel them same

Thank you for your comment! It really gives me the motivation to branch out into more unusual (for my channel, at least) content. I've got more footage of Japan, especially theme parks, so I may churn out some vlogs when I get to editing them over the next few weeks/months.

And thank you for the content! Your passion for theme parks and architecture are just as appealing as your talent for games so I can't wait!
The teal building at 3:15 kind of looks like those low texture city buildings all the way in the background of some game worlds. It looks so low res.

Lol, you're right! Maybe they explains why the surroundings of Kyu Shiba Rikyu look like such a mess to me - it's like a poorly designed Cities Skylines map.

I laughed at this comment a little too hard ... Can't even switch off those low-res nags when they hit us in real life either.
Loved it! If you are taking requests, can you do a similar video about on Dutch gardens/parks/architecture? :)

I'm afraid Dutch parks and gardens are super underwhelming! However, a video about Rotterdam, where I study, would be pretty cool. I'll see if I can tie that into any topic!

I live in the Netherlands lol, and its about finding the right sport. Some gardens are beautifull and some are not
I share your love for Japanese Gardens. Thank you from CT, USA for the lovely video!
How is it possible that this was the video I 'needed' at this very moment? I wish more of us (myself included) saw the world this way.
Look at this gaijin youtuber actually treating japanese culture with respect :P Beautiful video silv, just looking t the blend of greens and reds in some of the footage make me really want to go and visit them to see them.
🌞🌞 Exactly what I was looking for this morning thank you!
very enjoyable! thank you for posting this! it just might get me back into the game...want to make my own japanese garden...
Thank you for a lovely garden tour!!
I know this video is pretty old but I just watched it and it's amazing! I love that you didn't do a normal VLOG but instead only showed the views and talked over it. The pacing really good, too. And all the shots were great. I would definitely love to see more travel videos from you :)

Thank you so much! It means a lot, I might make more of this stuff occasionally in the future.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE MOSS and the only place I see it is in Japanese Gardens & in the WOODS. Keep in mind for future videos 🌎🚴🎶
Hey, I am currently going around to every garden and I finally got the annual pass for all 9 yesterday. You are 100% right about them being amazing.
Thanks, going to visit them this week
Wonderful video. Do you have more footage from your time in Japan? Id love to see it.
I recognised a lot of the things in the gardens that are also present in your planet coaster creation. You definitely took a lot of inspiration from these.
These look so cool
beautiful!

Did you see Atys' Japanese Garden cooperating with the train in Cites:Skylines? It was so freakin beautiful, one of my favourite C:S builds out there. (4:25) kzread.info/dash/bejne/hWatp7avh6adacY.html

@Silvarret

...I never actually noticed that they tripped. I just thought it was a really cute couple, and the shot of them overlooking the garden is pretty cool.

Aren't all gardens in Tokyo japanese by definition?
@Silvarret
6 жыл бұрын
Well, I meant Japanese as a style in garden design - Japan also has some Chinese, English and French gardens actually! But you're right - they're kind of Japanese gardens.
@limejet
6 жыл бұрын
I'm aware, I'm kidding :P I grew up in a town that has a sister city in Japan, so there are a few japanese gardens spread through it. It's a very striking stylistic difference to the other parks.

damn, I am the most gullible person ever, lol - anyway, that sounds great! I wish there were accessible Japanese gardens in the Netherlands.
