Well, it used to be a thing in the US, the famous NY to Chicago overnight express (sleeper), it was the example for businessmen and salesperson travel between two metropolis----finish work at Manhattan office at 4 pm, get on that train, settle down in a solo room with bed, luggage space, a small restroom just for youself and a dining car serves steak and smoke salmon, and after a good night sleep, wake up at central Chicago, ready to meet your client. That was the shining example of overnight express during late 1940s-1960s.

Or in India. They're introducing the vande sleeper trains but they don't have private coupes , vending machines or shower rooms which is my biggest disappointment

I honestly think I would just sit there with the light off so that I could watch the nightlife of Japan drift by - it looks stunning!

I was gonna post the same. I wouldn't sleep or watch telly. I'd just put some ambient music on and look out the window. my kid would be the same. We'd also eat dinner looking out...hehe.

I find the ICE pretty good as well. Only the connections are a bit messy

From being stuck in a feudal system for ages to becoming the most technologically advanced country in 200 years, what a journey

I thought I’d feel claustrophobic in such a room, but the white noise of the train is so relaxing to me, I think even I’d be fine!

3:10 this view is just amazing. The fact that you can be in complete darkness and enjoy the city view without any reflection is just so perfect, I would watch this for hours.

It is unbelievable to see how there still exist people who do give a high price to cleanliness and respect towards the others. The author shows every time in his videos for example that after having a shower, the place must get cleaned for the next client. Or “say thank you to the driver”. He appreciates the pillow for being soft! I know persons who would always find a reason to criticize everything. The space looks cramped at first, but you can see that it is well thought out and very well laid out. I love the self service beforehand and the fact that the ticket prices are in different currencies to get an idea of the cost.

Love the soap holder with JR logo

There are many KZread channels about the Sunrise Express and different options of travel on it but I find yours the most informative and relaxing. I like all the little details you give so I get the whole experience of it.

Хочу в своей стране такой же поезд, хотя на 10 часов езды, даже самолёты не стоят 200 долларов , но покататься можно))в комфорте, хочу самое обычное плацкартное место в этом вагоне

У нас есть такие поезда, и даже лучше с душем и туалетом в номере, и кровать на пульие управления

@@KaluciferTanuki смотря куда самолёты. На непопулярных маршрутах легко и 200 и 300 долларов выйдет.

С удовольствием бы прокатилась бы на таком поезде😍😍😍потрясающие окна, хорошее убранство и спокойствие :)

Its actually amusing for me how well japanese threat their trains, buses ect. Here in Hungary im happy if i can sit on a seat thats not throughfully dirty! This is an another reason why Japan is one of my favourite countries!

I love watching this before sleeping and think that when I become 18 years I will go on that sleeper train and sleep in it!

Watching these types of videos without music at night is a big pleasure (:

Work hard and save your money then. If you work a fancy job they will even pay for your travels.

@@lucyskye7229 I haven't lost hope yet. :-) 48 years old and I am taking care of my 15 year old niece. She's my priority. I have a bookkeeping business and I can just barely put away 5-10%. The American dream isn't what it used to be. You've got the right idea! :-)
