The staff member playing cello at the hair salon was so random 😂 I have a straight perm too, I got my whole head done after moving to Tokyo. It costs a lot but my hair is naturally curly so it’s a huge difference. Getting just your bangs done is actually really smart though! Frizzy bangs are the worst

Ikr I felt very fancy 😂 yeah I can definitely see how it would be worth it for curly hair! thankfully outside of summer my hair is usually pretty tame 😭

I love that you got the cute tray, they were all adorable. I also really like your hair. To make the lights stop flickering you can increase the FPS in your camera settings. For the iPhone its Settings>Camera. Increased FPS makes smoother videos but they take more space on your phone. Stay Safe!

So I currently work at Costco's terrible, slightly older brother and may I just say that even Japanese Costco looks nicer than where I work lmao (all of us constantly try to get jobs at Costco because they are inherently better, but they're never hiring because they are inherently better). Tokyo is so beautiful and you always find such pretty little things to film! I think your hair looks very cute and actually don't notice much difference between straightened or not, so probably if it makes you feel more comfortable is the real question. The burnout on depressing news is real, and I think most of us are feeling it by now... I love that I'm not the only one who rewards myself for doing adult things by getting some little treat like your chai tea lmao. Thanks for another relaxing and lovely video! Also I think your videos bring me luck because at almost the exact same time you uploaded I got an email to tell me I'd been awarded a scholarship! Not only is my entire year paid for without any loans, but I have money coming back to me from it, omg!

Another great vlog! That HP cafe looked really cool. I want all that Disney merch! For sure the Disney stuff in Japan is way better than at the US parks. They are trying though with new popcorn buckets and they just started selling the soap dispensers with the mickey foam. I'm anxious for all this unpleasantness to go away so I can travel back to Japan.

Im really enjoying your vlogs and I love your dress! The straight perm is so interesting :0 ?? It seems to be the same thing as a chemical relaxer that black women use to straighten hair and it lasts for a few months! I used to use them when I was little, but I wear my hair naturally now. Idk if it's similar chemicals but just be careful not to use it too often! I guess if you only use it in the summertime though- should be fine.

Oh it could be similar to that!! I don’t think they’ll let you reapply it to the same area, I think they’ll only do it to parts that grow out and haven’t had it done, probably because it can be so damaging 🤔

the niffler tart got me laugh out loud lmao what the heck 😂 honestly when your video started I was like wow the straight perm looks really good on you and only then I realized you don't even have it yet, haha. I think in general you don't need it but it might be a go to in summer to eliminate the sweaty fringe problem. I was thinking about it myself but my hair is butt length so it would be kinda expensive. Didn't know you can go for a fringe only!

I live in Vancouver Canada where it rains most of the year and I started getting straight perms about 4 years ago after learning about them from watching vlogs from Japan. My hair used to be so frizzy and now it is smooth and I really like what it does for my hair. I keep my hair on the longer side so it can be a bit pricey but for me it lasts a really long time before I need to go back and get it done again.

In Los Angeles straight perm for a full head of hair is $800~ USD. I doubt just the fringe would cost anywhere near $30~ USD. I don’t have a Costco membership and I live near 2 locations in Los Angeles. I used to loooove their frozen soba noodles 😭 so expensive and not worth it. I’ve yet to play Genshin Impact and I can’t believe your IG got hacked! Thank you for the 30 minute video 😭 🙏 💜 ✨

Your bangs look straight after all that wind and being outside in the heat, so I think your perm works. No I wouldn’t do a straight perm. Chemicals and all that. But it’s nice to do it if it makes you feel better.

Costco hot dog and drink is still $1.50 here in the states.

Do you know if schools are struggling to find enough English teachers due to closed borders? I hesitate applying to places in Tokyo atm just because I don't know if I could even get in LOL But I'm trying to stay hopeful.
