Rockets are crude and unreliable, that's why everyone claps and cheers when there's a successful launch. In a hundred years from now when mankind reaches the nearest galaxy with warp drive propulsion, they will look back at this technological era with fits of laughter.

What you have to remember is that Japan have a policy of getting things right before they put their people at risk un like some country's. That's why they produce the most reliable cars and anything else they produce. They get it right, and then they dominate any industry they enter into. Best cars, best motorcycles, best knives, best generators, ect , ect..

@MKody funny enough, it was an American, William Edward's Deming is personally responsible for changing the Japanese thinking with manufacturing. Prior to the second World War, Japan made cheap rubbish like China does now. William Deming was the leading consultant to Japan whose methods of putting quality b4 quantities helped hasten japan's recovery after the second World War and beyond. He is the only foreigner who is celebrated, and his picture is on some Japanese currency . So yes, he, as an American, was the biggest influence on their now success of quality in manufacturing.
