Amazing how the man gives a fully informed commentary on this yet there are people here who just weren't listening.

Saw a peregrine (they have a nestbox on a power plant nearby) chasing an adult Bald Eagle in downtown Madison, Wisconsin a few months ago. Such a sight. I was just walking to church--they flew over the church. I've seen both there before but having grown up thinking of them as very rare it's so amazing. Seen so many different raptors in the middle of Madison... also snowy owl (totally incredible and stunning, on my own street and landed on someone's porch), great horned owl. osprey (hunting in hover mode, nesting, carrying a fish), besides red tailed hawks and many, many cooper's hawks which nested one time overhanging the street a block from my apartment and successfully raised their whole clutch of babies which was a huge joy to witness their whole upbringing as they hung around for a while after fledging, learning to fly, hunt, etc.

If an eagle attacks a peregrines nest then the peregrines are powerless being way smaller and less powerful. That is why they attack eagles or any other big predators near their nest while in the air to chase them off. In the air a peregrine can take out anything.

Someone should tell the narrator that a picture tells a thousand words, His commentary adds nothing but noise.

So who attacked first? Was the eagle trying to kill/eat the peregrine? Or the was falcon just upset by her presence?

The Peregrine attacked the Eagle. The Peregrine had a kill in the field so she was protecting it.

One good strike from the Peregrine and the Eagle could be seriously injured. Eagle has flown into Peregrines territory and the fastest animal on earth is not having any of it. NO BIRD can keep up with the stealth of a Peregrine. That BE took off with no question he was leaving.........I laughed at the obvious rage that little bird had at the start for that trespasser. Fierce little hunters.....

They're known to fight off hawks and eagles from attacking their nests, since the other birds can't keep up with the falcon they either get chased off or even knocked out of the sky to die on impact with the ground

@@lamaspacosbrothers there is plenty video when Falcons hunt down adult bald eagles and golden eagles. But there is no video on how eagle hunts falcon. Falcon just too fast

@@davis7323 a bald eagle is never catching a peregrine falcon. A bald eagle primarily hunts fish, they need strength and power. A peregrine falcon is the fastest bird there is. they even fight off eagles and hawks by dive bombing them when the eagle or hawk comes near their nest.

The falcon because, the falcon can swoop down towards the eagle and hit it. Just one powerful hit, and the eagle is seriously injured. There is NO BIRD that can mess with the falcon.

Yes I also read that falcon is very strong and falcon Can kill eagle easily . But I don't vitnessed that .

Eagles predate on peregrines, that is the reason why the peregrine is nervous and attack the eagle. By the same reason, kestrels attack peregrines.

Qaib Dej that all depends on who see's who first. If the peregrine attacks from above, the sheer power of its talons combined with speed and its game over for the eagle.

Peregrine are faster and more agile than golden eagles. Unlikely the golden eagle would be the winner.
