Jamie Raskin on how the 14th Amendment applies to insurrectionists seeking office
Rep. Jamie Raskin, D-Md., told Dan Klaidman on Yahoo News’ “Skullduggery” podcast that Congress should “develop a statutory mechanism” to reinforce section three of the 14th Amendment, which prevents anyone who participates in an insurrection from holding office.
Raskin also said that the Jan. 6 committee hearings allowed the public to see the “extreme radicalism” that occurred during the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol, and that “people would come to understand, in time, the absolute derangement that we've been living under."

The interviwer should get an "A" in prolonged waffle, I couldn't get past the initial question!
Thats right so do something about it
Best wishes from Yorkshire, the North of England. Rep: Raskin is a warrior for truth. Cancer chose the wrong man to mess with. I look forward to the day, in 2023, when he announces that he's received the all clear. Jamie Raskin is admired, respected, and even loved by people all over the world. I hope he can take some strength from that.
Lot of politicians were involved to
Thank God it's Jamie Raskins! 1 of my favorite to listen to. All I keep replying with anything to do with Trump is the 14th Amendment. Now, after reading it, it's section 3. He just needs to go away!
Mr. Klaidman has studied the questioning technique of Joe Scarborough

It's curious how negative coments about heir drumpf are removed from Yayhoo's site.
Who died (or lost a civil war) and gave Jamie Raskin the power to decide questions of insurrection/who we are allowed to vote for?
Learn to ask a question and don’t ramble with stupid nonsense for more than a minute. More importantly, what’s the wording of the amendment? “Participates in” or “convicted of” insurrection? Two very different things. If it’s just participated in insurrection, and the Federal Government officially declares Jan 6th an Insurrection, then anyone who was involved in any way to aid, succour or support, is automatically barred from office. If it requires a conviction, then the amendment is just as useless as every other American law that is hand-waved for rich people.
