Remember how the right wing bulk of the press turned on Mrs Blair, using cover of her work as a human rights barrister? The first attack on Mrs Starmer was launched before the election. I think people need to be realistic. The damage the Tories have done to the country is both serious and extensive. It is not going to be fixed quickly, perhaps not within this term of parliament.. The Labour government are going to have to make some hard decisions, and it's not always going to be easy. What's most important to me now is that we now have a new Government that will give hope to the likes of my Grandchildren, their future is what's important to me, that we give them a nation to be proud of and the opportunites that they deserve. A decent education, health service, job security and a pension at the end of their working lives, and the same for their children and grandchildren. Congratulations to Sir Kier Starmer, his team and the Labour Party. I wish them all well as they begin the unenviable task of putting right all that has been done to this country and it's people.
