Wow, was not expecting that singing voice to come out of James McAvoy. Kudos.

I can't believe it's been over 40 years since that song was released. Barry was an anomaly back then because disco was at its peak and he came out with beautifully arranged love songs with Broadway appeal.Those songs meant everything to me then and I still love them..

Barry Manilow studied piano at the prestigious Julliard Music School in NY. He spoke about being there in a most modest way when he performed recently at the Palladium. It was an amazing concert and his voice has just not aged at all. Immensely talented and all round nice guy too. Very generous in praise for his backing singers and musicians as well.

How beautiful an artist should be to do it this good. James did it with utter respect to the artist just in the right level. He sang perfectly in tune but never intending to challenge Mr Manilow.
