Even though Gandolfini has been hailed on the days after his death, it's still important to remember what an extremely underrated actor he was. He is without a doubt right up there with Pacino, Hanks, Brando. He will always be among the greatest ever!

I loved James Gandolfini as an actor in the Sopranos. After what John Travolta just said here I'm really seeing what a real human being is supposed to be like. What I dont get is this interviewer. Why do so many interviewers today have such bad A.D.D. that they cant let the person being interviewed finish more than 2 sentences without their own voice having to interject. This woman must have went "mmmm hhmmmm,,,mmmmmm...hmmm," then laugh and every 2 sentences start the whole process over again. John was very interesting. he did not need anyone to push him along or let him know he was being listened to. What is wrong with this woman!? I see so many interviewers do it now that Im shocked more stars do not just get up and walk away. Or maybe they do and we dont see it as they need to protect their interviewer. I dont get whats happening to America. 30 years ago Americas greatest sportscaster is fired because when they were talking about running backs, he simply made a comment that "Blacks are bred to play football. They have such muscular thighs compared to many white athletes." That's all he said and dropped it. He was fired the next day. Now we have interviewers who need to feel they really matter when they dont! The truth is, haven't we all felt listened to the most, when the person listening to us says the least? And then you have sometimes 3 interviewers all together in one space and there is not 1 second of silent time as they keep talking over each other. I heard of speed dating. I never heard of speed interviewing. TV interviewing is getting disgusting. Many of you werent even alive when Johnny Carson would have a guest on his show and he would speak with just smiles, smirks and laughing, and never even had to push his guest to keep going. Where are people like that in TV land today?

I was wondering about that. Travolta seems to be passionate about the film’s message… too bad it wasn’t a bigger release. But a big budget and studio support aren’t what makes a “real” movie. With less expensive video technology and streaming services, anybody has the opportunity to create something real!

Meryl Streep disagrees with you. She always said he was a great actor. When Travolta went out of fashion in the '80s (doing that 'Look Who's Talking' rubbish) Streep intimated that no actor was really secure in terms of popularity, given John's perceived 'fall from grace' in Hollywood. The classic Hollywood stars had to be able to act, and dance really well, (like Travola) and sing a bit too - like Travolta. How many can do this nowadays? A completely underrated actor.

Man, the nasty comments on ...well wherever you go. Mine? I think that these actors personal lives are just that - personal and private. These people are entertainers. You like, enjoy some of their performances, and some dont match the previous work. And it's often not the performers fault. Rather the story, script, setting, et. al. I've seen Bobby D., do excellent performances. And i've saw him in crappy ones too. Same with this guy.
