If it wasn’t so apparent that Daniel Craig didn’t want to be playing Bond in the later movies, and they didn’t waste some many of his villains; then he’d be third.

Daniel Craig as James Bond is irreplaceable. He will be missed tremendously.

@@3runjosh The series reached its height artistically in 1969 with the 6th film, OHMSS. They've never been able to make a film as good as that one. All serious collectors agree.

That’s arguable I’d say. He made Bond evolve with the times. I’ll give him that. More rugged, more muscular, more physical more aggressive, much more colder. Personally my favourite Bond will always be Sean Connery. But each of them were quite meticulously chosen weren’t they? Each of em had a level of charisma that they carried on screen splendidly. Whatever side we Bond fans might take in terms of choosing our favourite Bond actor, all of us can easily and unanimously agree on one thing I’d say: watching a Bond movie will always be an absolutely cracking affair!

@@murilo7285 modern people spend much time taking medicines, eating right, denying themselves, taking precautions from all sorts of "danger", real or perceived. so many do this in order to live longer, and yet how are they living? 10 hours a day getting ready for work, travelling to work, doing the job. coming home to more routine. feeling tired. worrying about money, etc... fulfillment and true happiness escapes most people, and yet they still feel compelled to do everything they can to stay on the planet longer. much of it is out of fear of death and leaving others behind. but is it really living? instead of adding days and years to an unfulfilled life, perhaps live more fully... feeding your soul, seeking true happiness, showing others how to do it too, being an inspiration, partaking in all that is special in this world. do not live with fear and compulsion and material pursuits; but instead seek experience and delights and challenges, even danger. perhaps you won't live as long, but you will likely live more and on your last days you can look back on your life with deep satisfaction. and those close to you can as well. sorry if that was too long winded.

Craigs bond was so real. It’s an actual story instead of just bite sized ludicrous adventures. He almost never had a happy ending and he had weaknesses. It just so amazing

This is not only an amazing tribute to Daniel, but also an amazing life message, "I shall not waste my days, I shall use my time". Well done.

Daniel Craig made James Bond more believable and human than anyone else before him. Perhaps the movies about Jason Bourne did have som influence on the James Bond franchise as well.

THE IRONY IS THE DIRECTOR OF BOURNE WANTED TO DO BOND BUT DID NOT GET THE JOB SO HE DID BOURNE AND THEN CAMPBELL AND THE OTHERS FOLLOWED HIS STYLE AND TONE FOR THE CRAIG MOVIES. I LOVED BOTH SETS.

@@gracie99999 ya i really did grow to lik and appreciate him and his take. Odd seeing as he did not really like being Bond by the 3rd movie but onscreen he never seemed to mail it in. I think his creative control really helped the last film and getting Phoebe WB really helped making the movie more well rounded without emasculating JB or making him a joke.

Next to Craig, the rest of Bond movies look like comic book adaptations. With him, they have managed to completely revamp the series and turn the character into a total bona fide badass who is also still human, with his own vices and imperfections, and is, most of all, believable. It is really hard to think of an actor who could've been better suited for the job, and I fear for the fate of the franchise because I have no idea how they are going to fill his shoes.

Loved the choice you made at the end to make reference to Bond reacting to his obituary. That's the man he was, and died as: it was about duty and service, not to be remembered, but to help those who needed it most regardless of accolades.

@@Bad_At_Parties It opens the way for the next film. At the end of You Only Live Twice, Bond defeats Blofeld and gets blown to fuck and loses his memory in the process. Gets rescued by Kissy Suzuki and lives as a fisherman until he gets memory flashes about Vladivostok - that island on which Craig's Bond dies was in disputed Russian/Japanese territory, remember. In the first chapter of The Man With The Golden Gun, Bond turns up, not knowing where he's been and tries to assassinate M. In his pre-meeting interrogation, the interrogator says "There was always something odd about 007's death. No body. No solid evidence. And the people on that Japanese island always to me to be playing it pretty close to the chest." It'll be a line in the next Bond film. I'm interested to see how they tie this Bond in with the next one. It'll need the Hell of a plot to keep it as good as Craig's.

@@DreadnoughtMetal2006 The poison garden and island was just a tip of the hat to YOLT. That's all. The next Bond will be entirely fresh, unconnected from anything in the Craig era. New cast, new Bond, new everything. No connective tissue. How people don't think that is beyond me.

Daniel Craig is the 007 G.O.A.T for me. Will sorely miss him in the franchise.

This really got my hairs standing up. The essence of bond is, escapism for men,and women.....from the treadmill of everyday, and nudges us to dare to be a bit more than we think we can be. We will miss you Daniel, but 007 is forever... Amen to that.

Divisive choice or not, Daniel Craig humanised and grounded the role. Whomever follows has a challenging future. Just brilliant choice of scenes, music and quotes.

In terms of character, Craig has been the best Bond by far. He had a journey, true development throughout his films, something no other Bond ever had. His tenure will never be forgotten

I think it was appropriate to see the end of NTTD in the manner we did. To bring the Daniel Craig series to a close in such a way let’s us reflect on it. It puts him in the category of heroes few performers ever get to enjoy. Bravo on the tribute, and a job well done 007.

The evolution of cinema has brought realism into the foreground more so than in the past. Daniel Craig does an extraordinary job of putting grit into form with secret service.

One of the best 007 DC edits I’ve seen in a while !!!!

Absolutely amazing. Seriously brought a tear to my eye remembering the joy of seeing the scenes and hearing those lines for the first time in the theaters as you sat on the edge of your seat. Great job. Perfectly captured the Craig era.

This is a wonderful montage, almost a loving tribute to the collection of films that Daniel Craig has given to us. But its not just his acting and the writing and incredible presentation of the films producers, its not just the little references and easter eggs in the later films but for me its the fact that these films get closer to the way the character was written in the original books than any other films in the history of the franchise. And as one of the other comments says this ontage has a good sprinkling of those little quiet moments of wisdom and reflection. The moments the man who has seen far too much wishes to gloss over the horror and focus on his duty. Beautiful work by everyone concerned

Daniel Craig will stand in the pantheon of 007 Gods proudly as the finest James Bond there was.

The BEST Bond EVER!

The Craig series were simply the best Bonds ever. A 5 film arc that just goes from the beginning to the end. Tough to beat and will stand the test of time

I absolutely loved Dame Judi Dench as M. Hands down the best M they've had in the series. The new Q is really good as well. Nobody can replace Desmond Llewelyn. He defined the role for so long, but Ben Whishaw has created his own take on the role that works well.
