Hi Will. Nice to see the DB5 back again! I'm about to do a similar job on mine. Mine is stripped down ready to paint. What I want to do is add lights for the rear number plate as this should be easy enough to do. I would also like to get the wheel spinners to come out more too. I do like the idea of the warm light headlights👍 Look forward to following your work on this m8.

I built my db5 and is in mint condition with the black dust cover over it on my shelf

With regard to the tail lights Will ----don't change them,they are correct! These are as originally designed and built. After filming on Goldfinger and Thunderball, the car was returned to Aston Martin who removed all the gadgets!! The car was then returned back to a standard DB5 and resold as a used car, The new owner on learning of it's pedigree paid another garage to add all the gadgets again. Their version of the tail light mod (the whole light unit lifts up now rather than pull down), the roof hatch, centre console controls,revolving plates and front lights etc,are all very different from the original gadgets which were hydraulic based, The flip up top red light actually comes from the mods that were made to the standard 'Road' car from the 2 films that later had the mods added. Incidentally, the other tail light is a caltrops (spikes) dispenser.

Thanks for that, was trying to work it out from the film and there was no specific display of the light movement
