Great build and vid 💞🍺👍🙏💪
🎉
I think this car will rival the La Ferrari for detail
Are there painting instructions and what is the total cost of a complete build?
@ekspatriat I am sure there are paint instructions further in to the partwork as for cost I think they were £7.99 per issue and I think there are 120 issues, but not sure on that
That took some dedication getting those parts all on there... Well done 👍✅
Yeh, one week almost nothing to do and then bam lots of small fiddly bits 😂
Hello. Would you consider making one of these kits if I paid you. Absolutely love your work
Unfortunatly it is a bit of a one of and I made it to fit the model so I dont have any measurements to easily create another
@@WillsWorkshop that's a real shame. Thanks though
Hello willy from Atlanta Georgia..you r my favorite KZread person
Good job Will
The Batmobile is growing well, if you enjoyed this please check out the rest of my channel for other great content and remember to hit that subscribe button too
We’re do you get issue 1
The collection is not currently available butnif you only need a single issue you can try here partworkscollectables.co.uk/Hachette-Build-The-Mallard Alternatively DJH models do a similar kit and you can find links in the video description
@@WillsWorkshop thanks :D
That’s awesome will! Wish I was more skilled with servos and electronics to incorporate this stuff into my builds
It's all a learning curve for me, probably why it's taken so long but I was determined not to have the stupid spring mechanism back
Enjoying watching the build. Can you provide the Tap/Die set that you use. I have been looking for one and there are so many choices and not having bought one for modeling before, don't know what to get. Thanks in advance.
Hi, this is the set I have, seems perfect for models amzn.to/3KMC4gl
@@WillsWorkshop Thanks for the info!
Well Done on your 1👀0 subs Will. Mallard looking good
Thanks 👍
hi will congrats on 1k well deserved bud are you going to motorize this to run on track when built
No, this will be a static model, I don't have the room for an O Guage layout, still trying to work out if I can do a OO layout for my running engines
Lame that you copied World of Waynes intro.
Not really, How would you like me to introduce the channel? Wayne has never had a problem with how I introduce my channel
Hi Will. If you have all the issues why don't you do two per week. No one else seems to have done the Mallard. I'm thinking of starting mine now I have finished the routemaster bus. Great vids by the way
MICHELTFDDAKKKKKKJR
I like how they advertised an actual binder book, but then sent you a cardboard box with the fan fast and furious Nissan logo on it
Yeh, certainly don't think it's worth the money they are asking

Welcome to the channel, hope you enjoy my content
@WillsWorkshop I'm relatively new to this the last model I built was some years ago a Tamiya Kinghauler with the full kit I really enjoyed it but finding it hard to pull the trigger on the models Wayne makes due to cost. Look forward to seeing your stuff.👍
Hi will How long would you say was the long cable would be? I am receiving pack 21 in 2 weeks or so, this is the time where we finish building the front bumper, I will like to do this upgrade before I mount the lights on it
I'm not sure how long it was, as you can see from the video I reused an LED I wasn't using and then just measured it out in place allowing for a little slack to still be able to move the bumper around
Stop buying sweat shop models.
going through your mallard build videos making sure what i have done on mine is correct
I built my db5 and is in mint condition with the black dust cover over it on my shelf
Looks really good Will.
The new color looks awesome! Looking great!
I've painted my interior grey too Will. Grey primer with a satin seal is the way to go
Hi, Will. I am watching you take this db5 apart. I have found a video called Aston Martin dB 5 undeserving star or driver's car on KZread. Near the beginning. It shows you what the air vent should look like above the front wheel after about 21 seconds.Maybe you could look at this. I admire you for doing all this.I have done it on my London bus.I think we would get on as we seem to enjoy fiddling with and improving things. regards tony
I did consider drilling and opening up the vents but considering there is no real detail behind the wing I have opted to paint the inner part matt black
If you don’t have a power mod just when you order from Chloe leave a note in the order that you plan to not have a mod and just use the board and she’ll send you a longer cord to plug into the board in a slot right next to the battery box cable
Chloe is always happy to help, I usually just create my own power mods
Hi Will, I'll be following your progress as I am about to start building one of these Hachette kits. I'm planning on soldering the main components, but will be referring to your videos for excellent visual reference! Best wishes, Paul
Hi Will I would like to do this mod myself. How did you remove the red & black outer sheath to reveal the cable underneath? Thanks
Just using a sharp blade
What scale is that?
It's 1:8 scale
Y'all gonna be busy doing this.
Love the video will going to look good once painted
Wow, Great work here, I just finished watching the first video, and I’m impressed with what you are going to do with her. I will definitely watch your progress and I wish you well on your planned upgrades. I have a couple of issues with mine, and I want to take mine apart also but I’m not as ambitious as you. Mainly I need to fix the alignment issue I have with front lower driver’s corner, it would not sit flush like the passenger side. Also I need to replace one of the mirrors and the front window trim as I broke them in the later stage of the build. I noticed you didn’t have the alignment issue, many builders did have this problem, so I’m looking for a remedy for this, If you have any recommendations on how to fix this, please let me know. Again, I hope to learn from you with your upgrades. Cheers.
I did have some alignment issues but a couple slightly longer screws sorted that out and pulled the body right down to the chassis
Okay great, I will give it a try before I disassemble everything.@@WillsWorkshop
you ll need to strip the paint all the way back , because it can burn up ,, the paint is a right pain in the rear end ,,, just scuffing it up is not going to do it !!!
What is the issue with the paint?
@@miger1824 the original paint on these models is a sort of powdercoating with an ink and that does not go well with regular paints , it's a bit like you paint something with a paintcan , and than go over it with a 2k paint , it will burn up as they call it , it will lift , wrinkle , blister ,,, the same will happen often with these models , that is why they need to be stripped compleet to get rid of the chance that that will happen , , also the models are painted in sections , that is why they all have difrent colors , the doors look darker or lighter compared to the body , that is because of the direction they where painted , to get rid of this you ll need to paint it all in one go , and in the same direction like you would paint a real car !!
@@modelmania825 Cheers. I'm going to try to hold most of the bodywork together to spray it.
Still Waiting for my one 😭Nice Video Will
Veramente un bel piano di lavoro vorrei farlo anche io .......il modello è veramente bello ma ne sto già facendo tanti
If you intend to make a fully running model you will have to buy a set of Slaters main driving wheels as the original set and the replacement set (after complaints) were totally unusable. The bogie and tender wheels are ok.The supplied motor is poor quality. I removed the lacquer coating on all the brass etch chassis parts to make an all soldered construction. The result is better than any RTR product todate.
This will purely be a static model, if I was to run it I would certainly be doing what you have done
