His song monsters had this grown man balling my eyes out. His phrasing is exceptionally perfect at times. The way he delivers is great too. I’m 38, my dads been my rock my entire life, a pillar of strength, can turn to him no matter what, over the last few years he’s beaten skin and bladder cancer, but he’s getting older and I’m become more and more aware that time is running out. He’s ill on and off with side effects from the bladder cancer, I went to his bed the other day and thought the tables are turning, he told me he’s proud of me and this song sums up my entire feelings right now. I’m struggling with the fact of life and meaning now. Just going to hold the times we’ve got left and hopefully get some more memories! This video has killed me so many times lately but I feel the need to keep coming back to it.

Hi Sandra, how are you doing
I don't understand why people don't like this song. It has a story. The story is heartbreaking. His voice is squeaky like he is trying not to cry. She must have meant everything to him. How can you not resonate with such loss and just say you hate this song. Artists don't do this anymore

Maybe people are like me and dont listen to lryics at all? I listen to music for the beats mostly and the vocals. Not to say that I dont like this but I dont care for the lyrics at all
I like the girl in the audience that was like "wait, is that James blunt?"... And as soon as he started singing she was "yep, that's James blunt"
Say what you like about James, but to pen songs that clearly resonate with so many is indeed a rare talent.
so underrated.. the absolute raw emotion in his voice is amazing.

@nicola Hello, how are you doing? It is nice meeting you here.
It's very rare that we get to see an artist who sing so attached to the song..that you can really feel the song with pain, with joy..whatever the song is about. That what makes a "real" artist is all about internalizing the song, not just singing the song but feeling the song. 👌🙂
James always captivates me. Top Man and Totally in his own lane when it comes to music,

@lesley Hello, how are you doing? It is nice meeting you here.
Such an emotional song, made even moreso by Mr. Blunt's outstanding performance & his "acting" (for a better word) the part. I hear this song, it re-rips my heart out, thinking about my late wife. Died years ago, but hearing this song brings the emotions back. She was, indeed, the one for me, as I hope I was for her.

As others have noted here - no matter how many times he may sing a song, he puts everything into it.
He's a passionate and emotional singer and that's what makes him great cuz he feels every lyric whether it's good or bad he puts every single ounce of himself and everything he's got into into his music truly amazing.
One of the greatest songs of all time. Lost love, Break up, Divorce,Death
I can see the emotions I feel like his emotions What a performance Thank you so very very much with gifting us all with your talent and your wonderful presence I 💜 James Blunt
That voice is recognizable in one second, one.

I love his music. I was in the Balkans recently. I was also a soldier when the war was on. I know he was to. Enough said.
An amazing man.
Such a unique voice. Class 👌🏼
He is outstanding!
I'm a guitarist and into less mainstream music, Heavy rock, Classic Rock, Alternative and James Blunt is not a POP Artist he is just an artist who is extremely popular but do not compare him to those fake puppets who can't write their own names never mind amazing songs. His song monsters had this grown man balling my eyes out. His phrasing is exceptionally perfect at times. The way he delivers is great too. I've saw over 100 of Rock Metal Blues Rap artist's and honestly James Blunt is the best I have ever witnessed live!
James é simplesmente incrível, sou apaixonada pela entrega e pela voz dele, é lindo e emocionante como ele coloca sua alma nas apresentações e cara impossível não se emocionar principalmente com essa música que ele sempre canta com todo o seu coração
HE is so sweet and handsome. He used to serve as a Queen's Guard,,, He just started singing recently. He did not come from a musical family, the only song sung at his home was happybithday, and a few christmas carols. One day he just started singing, truly an original.

James Blunt wow what an artist this song shouldn’t be allowed to be sang by any other …. he is the only one who can give the emotion to it
He's a rare talent. His voice conveys so much more than notes.
The 1st time I heard this song I was in the bus and I started crying.
If i was a judge in this performance, Iʻd get down from that seat and found somewhere in the crowd to watch from. Out of respect for his passion in his singing 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
