This is genuinely a fucking masterpiece. It's an evolution of his sound that I'd never thought he'd be able to produce. I'm in shock rn
Today something that this man doesn't do well? James Blake, the most underrated artist of this generation and who deserves a lot of support!

How can someone living off his music be underrated? People love to throw that word around lol. He needs support???? HE SELLS OUT BIG SHOWS HE GETS PLENTY OF SUPPORT

Wait what.. He has quite a bit of recognition and audience. Skee Mask has less eyes on him which is absolutely criminal. James Blake has actually collaborated with Beyonce for crying out loud lol

I think he means for example. James Blake works on a lot of other peoples projects(production/writes) and a lot of times people don’t know that he’s the one behind it. So for his personal work he’s definitely out there but far as work behind the scenes he’s more underrated.
You're always on another level, throwing us nothing but curveballs. That's what I love about you, man.
James Blake has been freed
What I love about James is he constantly rejuvinates my love of music to a new level. Straight up, I adore this
Sounds a lot like your old Boiler Year days! I'm happy; can't wait to hear more!!!!!💖👏👏👏👏👏👏

Hard to say how much this man means to me
This is nuts if the album doesn't sound like this. Fred again.. should up his game. James ain't playing.
Never been this early to the legend drop.

I was thinking what does it remind me of…. Lena Platonos - Witches (Red Axes Remix). Love it by the way!

Yachty 🙉🐵
Kinda dark, not sure if a like it so much. Will see… the visuals are crazy
YACHTY
view #349.
That's definitely Yachty on the vocals?
Sounds like yachty vocals
am i crazy or i hear yachty kinda adding some vocals at the end
yachty??
Im ngl i like this but i really hope this is just an interlude. Like im not trying to hear just 90% instrumentals. Then its just gonna be like dubstep. Still optimistic tho.
Something really interesting is happening in music right now. Brittany Howard, Hiatus Kiayote, Kaytranada, Durand Bernarr and many others. There is an important, subtle shift occurring and I am here for it Edit: sp

can you explain what kind of shift? would be interested to hear what you mean

@@jonathanluders1564I don’t know if I can give a satisfactory explanation. TLDR; Just a feeling 🤷🏽♀️ The work these artists are dropping seem directly related to their experiences in quarantine. They are thoughtful and they had time (!) to create music that extends beyond their boundaries; stretching for a sound just outside of their reach. It might just be me but I hear/see a through-line in their work. Hiatus Kiayote - Love Heart Cheat Code Kaytranada - Drip Sweat (especially the visualizer on KZread) Brittany Howard - Prove It to You Durand Bernarr - En Route Ep (short film on KZread) Willow’s empathogen and even Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter can be thrown in the mix. I’m cherry picking songs that have a common dance element like this song does. But listening to their albums (or what has been released so far), they feel like they are connected. As if the sounds of the end of this decade and the next are beginning to take shape. I’m okay if it sounds like a reach. I hope I make sense.

@@jonathanluders1564 it is mostly a feeling. As if the sounds/ethos of this decade are taking shape. The projects of these artists are quite different and yet, to me, seem to be in conversation with one another.
basically a bad cameo teaser
i will work on a song with James Blake one day, speaking it into existence 🙏🏼
If I released this, nobody would care. And they would be right.
