This man has the energy of a slightly petty villain who doesn’t really want to destroy or hurt anyone but has just enough of a distaste for humanity to put in the effort to be an inconvenience to society, just enough enthusiasm to make it gimikey and enjoys it just enough to return weekly, mostly so he can bond with his designated hero. Whom he frequently goes to brunches with and makes friendship bracelets for.

If you really want to re-freeze things say "Oh well, better go. I've got a prostate exam tomorrow. Best do some revision." This has the benefits of being something horribly intimate to tell someone you barely know, invites them imagine you receiving that prostate exam and makes them wonder what the hell you meant by revising for it (surely not that!?).

@gnilttbs I mean, a fair warning for harassing your colleague. I said; *If it was an office party.* Didn't you read that part? Don't try to suggest you didn't read it. Are you somehow suggesting European office-parties involve stories about prostate exams? Because I'm Dutch and we're supposed to be the most liberated and free non-taboo easy-talk-about-sex country and we will nót discuss that on an office-party. I'm very very curious to read your answer.

@gnilttbs This comment was a year ago, gnilttbbs, and you're upset about it tóday and I just wanted you to know that I won't be spending anymore time on explaining to you why that isn't necessary. Also, I don't care about you being an atheist. When someone wishes you a good weekend, you don't *have* to angrily correct them and say; 'Well actually, I am working on saturday, so _thanks_ but I don't celebrate weekends.' I don't celebrate Christmas either, if you don't count putting up a tree and munching on food. I don't go to church (nobody does at this point) and I don't pray. Nevertheless I thought it was a friendly gesture to wish you a Merry Christmas, for the abovementioned reason. Now I'm off to write a card for my penpal, so please, leave this issue. I had enough time for you *a year ago* , but I am busy now.

I know he's very funny as I've seen his other stuff but I have to say this bit was dead in the water I can honestly say I didn't even smirk. I'm honestly confused as to what made that one man do a full-on belly laugh over him saying "schmoozing Schmoozing". I'm saying this with no hate in my heart it's just honestly took me by surprise because I like this comedian.

@@grantk.2718 Before that show, I too wouldn't have imagined him not being good. But it was so bad that for about a month afterwards, I suffered a major crisis of comedy: "Was he really atrocious, or have I lost my sense of humor?!?!" Unfortunately, on that evening, James Acaster was awful. (shrug) C'est ma vie... Please continue enjoying him for me. :)))

@@samkatz8684 Did he like NYC? Because he HATED my city, and he spent about three-quarters of our show shitting on us so much that he ended the night claiming we were "the reason Trump was elected." To be fair, I love New York City more than the city I'm living in. (I'm a transplant.) But to end a crappy set blaming us for a president who deeply traumatiizes me in a seriously unfunny way... Well, that was it for me and Mister Acaster.
