I love this show. It's a right good laugh. I'd always have a tin of Heinz baked beans and sausages while watching it at lunch time. That little rite is fucked now! Awh....but be safe and happy mate.

It seems in the last year or so James has become bored of his normal "lighthearted whimsy" approach on TV shows and has taken on a new disruptive, mocking, almost trolling role. I'm all for it!

I remember in sixth form this guy kept forgetting his assignments and so he would just say his grandad died. And he had like one grandad for each teacher it was hilarious

Not sure why the hosts get criticism on these videos. They do what so few other hosts do and let the guests be the stars of the show. Not interrupting and letting guests just be themselves is a skill in itself. Too many hosts are more interested in getting their own pre planned jokes in that the show is about them not the guests.

He was my second favourite, but ever since the tragic loss of the legendary Sean Lock (RIP), he's been promoted in bitter-sweet fashion.

These hosts are so awkward. I'm half convinced that they're a parody of themselves. Can't imagine watching it without a comedian like James taking the piss out of everything. Also, are they a couple?

James A. is the most original comedian I've had the privilege to enjoy and witness... on this planet in my 75 years of life on this planet .... and... i'll be 75 tomorrow, July 4th, 2020. James has a Genius, a similar genius... and I do mean "genius," a genius... similar to Robin Williams and Gracie Allen. An Innocence and a "my reality." Who dare speak the truth? Only the children. Yes, the children will. Do you remember what it means to marvel at something? To be in a state of Marvel? James, so sets the mind to easy, because he's honest, and just says what he thinks is actually going on. You want to hear what he has to say. This is a point of view of... "The"... Earth evolving soul. He's it.!! Holy Cow. He is the common denominator. Sorry, but the truth is self-evident. The soul of the understated, rather good looking I think, lonely, needs to be held at least three times a day... followed by a time of silence... quite. 2:40 - Rover Scouts (18-26yrs) were some of the best years of my life. There’s also Venturers after Scouts (14-18) and both Rovers and Venturers are male/female not male-only at that stage which makes it a lot more “cool” 🤗

@@annother3350 when lamb carcasses are recorded after slaughter, you very often find in herds of 100s of animals, that two or three numbers are consecutive. This is because, through all the panic and dog bites and people trying to sort them, the lambs that were born together stay together and look after each other even when they know the end is imminent. I have seen this myself in several countries.

I am not from England but I love James and his weird humor, it's a rare thing now a days. Also this show is very awkward, seems a bit forced and kinda ruins the fun part James has.

Im an aspiring comedian so I'll try explain what I think the answer is cause I think I write my jokes the same way 🙂) Its a bit of both. He has a persona that he plays up on stage, but it's am exaggeration of his real personality and the inspiration for his jokes is drawn from his real life but to what degree he then modifies that and when is something only he would really know. Consider his 4 part comedy special on Netflix. It features jokes revolving around him going through a divorce, and he had divorced his wife about 9 months before filming the special. The jokes talk about them falling out of love and moving apart emotionally, but then also said she was leaving him because of something I think related to a story hes telling about being an undercover cop who's working undercover as a stand up comedian, which isn't true at all so there's obviously some creative license taken with his stories to make them material worthy but thats what he has to do with them to turn his tragedy into people's joy.
