I’ve heard that the entire Jamaican mango and lime product line is bad for our hair. I also noticed when I did that it almost two years ago I noticed that nasty build up it would leave in my sons Locs! After listening to a loctician I’m ceased using their products and I only use water and oil to retwist our locs!

Yes, I would say that. Essential oils are helpful as long as you dilute them in a carrier oil so you don't burn your scalp. As far as what would work to thicken the hair, it depends on your specific situation and whether there's permanent damage to the scalp, but it doesn't hurt to try. Rosemary and peppermint essential oils are my go to.

My bad I thought this was the one with beeswax in it. Idk if this brand changed their products or what. Honey should not be in the hair for the long term at all.

I used it regularly for a few months so that's probably why it caused buildup

It was barely hanging on so I ended up combining it. The hair in that part of my head is very fine and soft. I get lots of breakage there.
