Hey guys Jamaica gained independence on Aug. 6th 1962. Trinidad and Tobago gained independence on Aug. 31st 1962. So T&T and Jamaica are twins basically but born with different histories.

Same old Jamaica, but with some development. Some of the poor inner cities, especially the carrisons are still the same. Some parts of the city mash up same way. Some very good and strong same way. But like those Jamaicans in that time. We too are passing through. Most of those school pickney dem are senior citizens now in their 60s or 70s. The old people then are long gone or about to. All we need is about maybe 80years of life. We too, the Jamaicans of today are passing through this life in our little island. And others will follow after unto eternity. I am just happy that l am a part of this period (1974.....) Thank you life.....thank you Jamaica.

I dont think most people in the comments realize how under developed Jamaica was specially in rural areas under british rule. With independence Jamaica has much higher rates of water and electeicity access and not only that the spurces of these needs are very reliable compared to many countries that surround her. Only a mind that is still enslaved would believe that being colonized and being bonded by a foreign power is a better option.

Very very intriguing and interesting 🤔 documentary on the children of slaves ( so-called Jamaicans ) journeys. There were some order obviously, but they would have said because the white man had more intelligence and are capable to rule the slaves because we're incapable of ruling ourselves, but that's not the truth. Looking at our present situation it seems there is some validity to that statement 🤔 😕 😳 but that's not the case. This is where the conquistadors and elites fell off the horse because they justified this situation because it's quite obvious to see. The truth about that transformation both local foreign and in the diaspora the children children of slaves descendants only had was to fulfill prophecies and independence was the ending and beginning of initiation into those prophecies ( read: deuteronomy28chapter right through and Jeremiah 9v13-22 ). Now you know why these transformations and our present situation is what it is.

So, you're under the impression that black and white film existed 200 years ago? Smfh. Some serious ignorance out there.

Why wasn't Kennedy"s assassination in colour when he was killed in 63, a year after Jamaica's independence? Why wasn't the moon landing in colour? Why wasn't the Ed Sullivan show in colour? Why wasn't the Beatles first concert in America in colour? Why didn't Britain have colour TV before 1967? Furthermore, this wasn't shot on video, it was recorded on film. Lastly, why are such a moron when you can google everything?
