Even at 10-1, there were glaring problems with this team that weren't addressed. I've never seen an Eagle defense this soft and an offense so one dimensional and predictable. The coaching is reminiscent of the Rich Kotite days. They knew they were gonna get blitzed all game in Tampa and don't even have a hot reciever more than half the time?? They just wanna go deep every play no matter what.

Previously, Hurts would run sideways or up the field, throw it away, or even try to make a play, keeping his eyes open, but sadly, his confidence in team was done. It looked so much like he had given up on plays as soon as he saw pressure bowed down to it. I'm interested to know what the real vibe was in the locker room. Yikes

No big, you can see what is happening you don't hire a head coach like Nick Sirianni unless owner Jeffrey Lurie, and Howie Roseman is actively micromanaging the football team. The reason that the Philadelphia Eagles didn't run the ball that much was because the owner Jeffrey Lurie came to their offensive coordinator and head coach with his own analytics, and demanded they pass more.

@@jaysonsmith7264jalen did not look bad if you look at the game itself. Jalen’s stats were better than bakers if people would just tackle the bucks WRs. Him playing with a broken finger. A hurt knee and missing his top threat receiver and he still had a positive completion. If you look at the analytics of how his receivers ran their routes you can tell that they were not even close to making any plays they were running in circles in a zone. Also, Jalen hurts was throwing with less than 2 seconds for the majority of last nights game. That’s not on a QB. Jalen hurts was an MVP front runner during the middle of this season despite having a terrible year with coordinators, turnovers and injuries. Jalen is not the problem on this team. Yea and that’s the problem because he’s NOT calling any plays. When you have a HC that is reliant heavily on coordinators what happens when they’re gone. They literally said it on the show it’ll be the same thing every other year of the eagles coaches being poached by other teams and he’ll have to look to find replacements. Every winning team has a trend of having a HC that can either call plays on the defense or the offense.

Part of that going is defensives adapt to the style your are playing notice what was working for Eagles in past isn't working. One little trick that Jalen Hurts is so good at is running through the "B" gap and throwing ball down the field. But when defensives shut that down. It showed your "boy" Jalen was a one trick pony. He need to stay in pocket and throw on time, however, his foot work is terrible.

As a life long, die hard Giants fan. I love to watch the Eagles collapse. But I do genuinely feel bad for the men and women in that organization today. Seasons end and people come and go, but the way this all came apart, means big sweeping changes and even once they get past the grief of the loss, the paranoia that grips ya if/when your gonna be fired, let go, cut, released is awful. And it wont just be the names we know. Those guys will land another job. But its assistants, trainers, practice squad guys that are still holding on to the dream, position coaches that will really pay the toll of this collapse.

Clicking around with their job titles in mind, Howie started on the football operations side and Riddick, scouting. Does appear Howie moved over to scouting and was Riddick's boss for a few years, during which Riddick got a promotion. Howie went back to football operations as the General Manager and Riddick finished up in scouting as Director of Player Personnel. Howie and Lurie have an abnormally close relationship, Roseman has obviously never worked for another franchise. That said, you almost have to put trust in Lurie, seeing the success of the franchise under his stewardship. At the end of the day, Howie came up in the office and Riddick on the field - will seemingly always be a dichotomy there. Add in the favorite son treatment Roseman has enjoyed, one can understand some professional friction.

The way the Eagles move the ball down the field is Jalen like to throw on the move. So likes to run through the "B" gap and throw down the field for big plays. But if defensives keep him in the pocket he not affective because his foot work is off, and so is his timing to throw passes. But you can see he also doesn't have confidence in the Eagles play calling and I suspect that not just coaches. We need to fix the horrible defense we have in not concern about offense that’s more coaching then anything. Defense that’s coaching and players we can stop the run let alone pass block. It’s pretty clear we have to go after secondary players and get a better defense coordinator cuz the only reason we went 10-1 for so long was how good our offense was.

The fact that a dude took his team to the Super Bowl a year ago and went to the playoffs the years before, one 11 games this year and STILL can very well get fired. It’s insane how people in the media, “fans” turn on people so quick. There’s a reason why the eagles only have one ring in their franchise history. Plus, it sends a bad message to other potential coaches that even having all the success seasons prior. If you have 1 somewhat bad season… boy you better back your bags. And I’m a giants fan. But to fire this dude is honestly stupid.

If you listen clearly to what Louis Riddick is saying it without specifically saying it..(until Jeff had guts to say it) .he is speaking from experience working in that organization 2010-2013 when Howie Roseman was newly appointed GM (promoted within). He is one of the first to actually not praise Howie where as everyone else has. I personally like Howie from the outside and all the great moves however, I have to say there is clout when it is coming from someone who is respected has worked on the inside of the organization.

This is like trying to handle a Chinese fire drill. And that is what our team looked like--they didn't know what to do! Plays were changed on the sidelines and Sirianni was trying to scream them to Jalen Hurts! After the ball had been snapped! Do our players have to be clairvoyant? • @TheLatinferno

Here is the reality: The players know that they needed a HERCULEAN effort to win games. The coaches failed to put them in a position to win (on offense and defense) and never corrected the issues. This is why all their wins were "ugly wins". Or as they said...not a "complete game". The players eventually grew tired of nothing changing for the better (coaching adjustments) and knew if they stayed the course, the coaches would remain in 2024. They best way to take a stab at the GM (for hiring terrible coaches and a "gameplan" built around a horrible scheme/analytics) is to literally quit on the coaches. They were doing what the coaches wanted. But once they saw the writing on the wall (inept coaches and meddling GM) they littlery QUIT on the team in "silent protest". But sent a LOUD message to the front office. Change is necessary. BIG changes. Or expect more of the same next year. Lurie needs to demote Howie to contracts and trades. Hire better scouting to draft/rebuild a young roster. And hire an experienced HC who will have TOTAL AUTONOMY of the team. No more meddling from the GM OR the owner. Let them do their jobs. That's the ONLY way the Eagles will be fixed. MAJOR work ahead. But it ALL starts with Lurie.
