I’ve always rooted for Jake. He just seems like a good dude.

Jake deserves success with a strong foothold. Life has continually shit on this guy, but here he is! I don't even know the guy, but I wish him success. Get em buddy!

So proud of jake. I have seen him over the years over come a lot of obstacles and he pays his dues. So determined to be as good as he can. He is not the little kid cutting bait anymore.

Jake will definitely make a name for himself. An extremely professional and competent captain. He came from the best boat with the best training. This captain is going to make history in the Alaskan king crab fleet.

Sig taught Jake well, and Jake's continually overcome the crap life has thrown at him. Glad to see he got a second chance, and that Sig let him back on the Northwestern while he found another boat. He also looks really good too, for a while he was looking like he was about 60.

When one door closes another opens! You just have to walk this journey in Faith. Jake a man of God and this door opened because Jake's a good man

I wish they had teamed up when Jake got the new boat. Security for Jake and more crab for Sig.

I do miss the Saga. I always associated it with Jake. But it’s cool he’s got a newer bigger boat. He’s just gotta get used to the bigger beast that is the Titan Explorer.

Jake may lack the tact that comes with experience but it's good to see he's always had the drive an fortitude to keep pushing forward. Good on Sig for handling things like the professional navigator he's always been and NOT turning into a child like some captains would over the smallest of things and ruining a good and mutually beneficial friendship. I thought there was going to be a big issue an episode or two there lol Glad to see the Titan and crew added to the show and can't wait to see how the upcoming seasons play out.

I've done this type of work but because of family reasons I quit about 4 years ago.

I remember i watched him step on Sig's Boat for 1st time with a look on his face like he would take Sig job no problem lol so im proud of him to take the reigns finally history were watching the next Gen from fisher 2 Cpt.

The guy ...is...a...true...gentleman...getting...along...with...everybody...and ..giving...100...percent...

He couldn’t say a lot due to legal reasons, but apparently his financial partner had some financial problems and the boat got repossessed

​@@jaythebigbroHis co captain got sent to prison for being involved with a fraud ring. In order to pay for the damages, Jake had to sell the Saga so that he wouldn't get sent to prison either.

Jake and business partner had an agreement of “you handle the boat stuff I’ll handle the books/finances” but his partner wasn’t making the boat payments. So the bank repossessed the boat and he had to go back to work for sig while he got his affairs in order. Be very careful of who you do business with

His scumbag business partner screwed him

Hope Jake makes his quota with no major problems. A very successful owner of several businesses told me that business partnerships seldom work out in the long run. If you fire a nogoodnic relative rest of the family will hate you. Too often when one partner wants to go there own way the other partner can not afford to buy them out and end up selling the business. My best customer wanted me to go in with him and three others to purchase a large building for three of his businesses. Told him thanks but no thanks. Two years later on the way to bankruptcy he owed the IRS over $200,000. He was incorporated and never paid a penny. IRS does not care how many people owned the building so placed $250,000 liens ( included late fees & penalties ) on all five hoping one would repay them.They could not get a loan to purchase a car or house with such a large lien over thier heads.

Jake almost went *Hawk Tuah* with those kingies..

So Jake comes to the Saga and it is all chained up with a notice it has been seized. You would think he would have known this was coming but he seemed totally blind sided by it. Then you never hear about the situation with the Saga again. Just shrugs his shoulders and moves on. No wonder people complain about it being scripted.

Reportedly the problem is with the majority owner, not with the boat or with Jake. ...On-shore debts and tax issues.

When he first started out, he was a whinny brat who basically cried his way to the captain's chair.

Iam not saying I hate Jake cause I know what he has gone threw cause I have done it myself. Other than getting screwed out of a boat of course . But you gits thinking the show is real um ya it's really not in a way. Don't get me wrong it's a dangerous job but the stuff they show with all the boats is fake and scripted.
