Thanks for this video clip. Had the car go into limp mode showing engine management & soot alarm. A week after dealer service. You would think JLR would have this on its service plan Tried to force into regeneration (19g) but kept failing with the PO234-77 fault . So after watching this i got my son to remove the valve unit, it was free enough but totally sooted up removed over a eggcup full. Good clean out and test drive to force into regeneration without chemicals it fell to 4g. So very very happy we came across this video. I don’t think you could have travelled to St.Andrews 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Same vehicle from new 2017 DV6 60K miles and 50mpg on good days. Thanks again. 👍👍👍👍👍

Just a quick question, but is the Wynns Off-Car DPF cleaner safe to use with the DPF still on the car? If so, do you just pump a couple of litres in and let it soak (for how long) and then rev it?

Got the same problem with my Jaguar XJ 2016, going to try this, my code reader says the over boost is a permanent fault, my tester wont let me clear the fault after cleaning throttle body, does this mean my reader is pants ?

After the soot mass fell to 0 g, how much kPa was at 3000RPM? Still 3 kPa (30mBar) or should it be 0mBar or 10mBar at 3000RPM when DPF is 100% cleaned?

I've been fighting that 234-77 code on a 2017 Range Rover Sport with the same engine. Already fixed my DFP problem with one of your other videos. There is a JLR technical bulletin for that fault related to the intake throttle body. It appears that maybe some of these are developing a different fault from what you show here. My throttle plate isn't sticking like this and doesn't have that brown film, but I'm getting the fault nonetheless. Basically the code is thrown when the pressure sensor notes a drop or rise in pressure. The tech bulletin says to run a smoke test and look for leaks. I don't have a smoke machine but figured a way to test for leaks and didn't find any. I cleaned it up (off the car) and reinstalled after using petroleum jelly on all the 0-rings to hopefully get a better seal, and lubricating the throttle plate. We'll see if it comes back. Great video.

Hello Jimmy. I have a 3.0V6 Diesel F-Pace 2016. I have an OBD scanner and via exhaust temperature I know that active DPF regeneration happens aprox. every 150km. I do mostly short journeys. I still think it is way too often. Do you think the stuck throttle body flap could be the case? Is it worth checking if it's sticky or not?
