A very different kinda film for indian Audience. Story is average but cinematography, direction and acting is just brilliant. History says that indian Audience has never accepted a new experiment and Bollywood kept making same kinda story in same manner without improvising direction, cinematography, etc with time. But now it seems from past 1-2 years things are changing in Bollywood.

@trollmaster9696 no there isn't. Disney doesn't make Hindi films anymore (they have actually mentioned this and only release their own content or distribute films in India through their company UTV). Also the sequel was contingent on the first one doing well at the box office rather than it losing money which is what happened with the original. That's also not to mention the fact that the first one was barely completed after the actors had a breakup and fight which would make getting them together again for a sequel pretty damn hard.

@trollmaster9696 a cliffhanger doesn't mean that there's going to be a sequel. It just means they left open a possibilty for a sequel. The sequel was always dependant on box office performance. This film lost big money and went through major delays. Also the lead actors don't want to work together which is why the original went through so many delays and reshoots (now imagine trying to make a whole sequel in that sort of enviroment). And yes Disney is distributing a film. That doesn't mean they will produce another Hindi film. Disney and Disney owned Indian subsidiary UTV has stopped producing Hindi films altogether (they actually did before this film was even released). Distribution is the all Disney does in India anymore outside of dubbing (which is also only for in house Disney films).

A lot of Indians didn't like it, but most young people, including me, loved it, it's not common to see such things in Bollywood, but if we pay a little attention at Ranbir's work, he does uncommon films a lot, it may not be the BEST film you see, but DEFINITELY worth a watch

naa ..it was a missed oppertunity.....i was so hyped for this movie...but it was dissapointing...

This is an actual 'musical', the way Hollywood makes them.

you might see a lot of people hating on it because it's a musical and the irony if that people in India needs music in their movie the movie is actually good except that it's a little long but that's what anuran does he makes his audience impatient so when the climax comes everyone is happy

This movie has got mixed reaction. I personally loved it.it's musical n if u want to know what character Nawazuddin has played, u hv to watch it 😉

This will a cult classic. This will be researched later. This a amazing story. Some problems but awsm film.

The same team of Barfi. But way longer than it should... Great acting from Ranbeer though.

It’s not a crap. It has lots of cultural and old Bengali film (by Satyajit Ray) references. If you’re not familiar with them you’ll be lost ! However You should go by your instinct whether you watch a film or not.

Also, why do we need to assume that the humor might be lost in translation... It didn't got lost in PK and 3 Idiots... And this movie coming from same makers would be a refresher for the OSR family about the start of the journey

I think this movie would be termed a classic in the future because it was so different and underrated when it released. I don't like Ranbir that much but this was one of his best movies. Katrina tried hard too. It was such a fantastical movie, so unreal. I could watch it again and again. His hair reminded me of Tintin, which was probably the inspiration.

It's established....TUMBBAD is good. when are you gonna watch that?

I loved it...as an art student...the visuals and cinematography is great and very different from other Bollywood movies...got Disney vibe in this movie

This is a brilliant film. Disney first announced the launch on 2014, but then it took around 3 years to release at 2017, i personally saw this 3-4 times in theaters. Amazing and adventurous. I personally recommend this to you guys, cause as you said "how often does disney invest in India".

Disney bought one of the most successful & creative Indian studio - UTV in 2013-14 since that time they have been producing many small budget & big budget movies. Dangal is also produced by them.

The movie bombed.. I didn't get the film. However it has divided opinions coz it was an experiment. Rick might like it since it's a musical. React to the songs from the film. Coz they are brilliantly choreographed

Watch this as soon as possible if you have not yet. I know you released this video a while back but this movie deserves the mention. Being a bengali it definitely holds more nostalgic significance to me considering the innumerable references to our culture but as a pure piece of art it pays homage to amultitude of great film makers from across the world and on top of that is a spectacle to watch. It will bring you to tears and give you a good laugh. Please do watch Jagga Jasoos.

I loved this movie. It was so quirky, and I didn't know what to expect when I started so I almost stopped, but it was so refreshing to see the juxtaposition of darkish story with happy go lucky music that I'm glad I kept going to the end.

Jagga Jasoos is in my ''to watch'' list and from the trailer it looks like something that I wwill love , also Ranbir is one of my favorite actors no one have the same magic in expressing real emotions like him the other one is SRK , both have this amazing tallent but I assume it is the same situation as Tamasha - brilliant movie ,brilliant acting and no one in India appreciated it

I love this movie so so much. It’s like Tin Tin’s adventures stylized like Into the Woods, but less irritating because at least they have a reason to more or less be singing the entire length of the movie.

Its a great movie. A typical disney musical and Indian audience are not used to that, you know for like all the old princess cartoon movies in which every other line/dialogue is a song. That's the reason it got mixed reviews. Other than that, it has a great storyline, amazing visuals (Disney's magic of course) and the acting is cute which kinda keeps you attached throughout the movie.

See it for your own viewing... Or even review it if u want.. It's ok to have a different opinion. It's a whimsical movie, a first of its kind in Indian cinema. The length was the major issue for most people and too many unfamiliar references... Go watch it coz it's something that's different from India. N it's important to acknowledge and understand every kind of cinema 😊🙏❤️🌹

This movie wasn't a hit... But I feel it was one of the best movies ever... It had elements of old school Bengali/European movies plus a Tintin/charlie inspiration to it... The storyline could have been better, with a better hook else it came off as a tad bit childish...

Best case scenario - the video might stay up for a few days if they get really lucky. But eventually, it WILL come down.
