Jacques is a bit of a hero of mine. He was so ahead of his time with regards to technique and his presentation style is wonderful, especially compared to the headache inducing, high energy style of most of the celebrity chefs today. He’s taught me so much. Happy Cooking!
Total class: weaving cultures via food, language and history. What a personable chef and man!
Chef Pepin cooks. I click, pay attention and learn
I am always learning when he speaks.
A true master at work here.
The real treasures for me are watching him handle ingredients. Such economy of motion.
Where i live in the Willamette valley Oregon, there are tons of Filbert orchards. Filberts only grow in certain climates. Here is one of the best.
What a formidable chef and all-round talented entertainer/educator.
These old shows are full of heart...... Merci Chef Pepin.
Watching this legend at work shows us why Anthony Bourdain (a legend himself, RIP) absolutely loved him. The skill and pace is next level stuff.
Jacques Pepin is the first infotainer: he provides information through cooking techniques and ways to cook with entertainment. Always a pleasure to watch one of his videos.

Julia Child was the first to do that, but yes Chef Pepin is one of the earlier celebrity chefs and is a great teacher to this day.

I've heard a little bit about Keith Floyd and yes he was more comedian than serious chef or cook.
Jacques is the best!

Greetings: fwiw , what I find extremely impressive about this amazing 😉 meal is that all but a few of the ingredients of the various dishes are available for purchase at relatively low cost, besides being healthy , colorful and full of nutritious vitamins! The steak 🥩 appears to be a special treat and the dessert 🍮 is absolutely incredible. These are culinary creations which are great looking and which I would be very proud to serve to any and all of my family and guests. This video made me very very very happy 😃 because it is so very very outstanding.

My wife has an unnatural aversion to catfish. And while she's never had it, she would love carpaccio I am going to make this meal for her and only after she says how much she loved it will I reveal it was catfish!
I love watching jaques destroy a clove of garlic. I can’t get the rocking technique to save my life
I didn't even have breakfast yet, what's wrong with me?
5:52 they don't teach these kinds of clever basics anymore
Ratatouille is a really extra fancy word for sauteed vegetables.
