I've been familiar with Jacob's music for a long time, but you Sir nail it with your reactions! Jacob is a harmony genious, in fact he's a musical genious (his lectures at MIT on frequences are quite incredible). Plays all instruments (watch AND listen to his cover of Lionel Richie's All night long, absolutely bonkers, featuring Take 6, Quincy Jones, the BBC orchestra, and so on), the only thing I can sometime criticize is his voice, he can sound a bit weird when 'a capella'

This song was composed in a computer program called Logic. By his own admission, this one song took over 1200 lines. For the record, the whole intro is the result of Jacob sending out an email to 50+ musician friends to send back an audio file singing the word “moon”… of the ones used, you’ll see Herbie Hancock, JC’s manager Quincy Jones, the late David Crosby, Jamie Cullum as well as many other luminaries of the music industry. Jacob also admitted in an interview the top note of the final chord is voiced by his sister. Other than that, it’s all JC.
He has an in depth video on his logic session of this and many other songs. Hes the bach of our time, cant believe hes not even 30
I vote more Jacob, Hideaway is a relatively easygoing suggestion to listen to
Take Care of Yourself, and Stay Safe. This is not a dress rehearsal. Do not assume there is a sequel. His Mum is the second voice, and his two sisters, third and fourth. It must be wonderful to make something this gorgeous with the people you love. 😂 You are the first reactors who has gone past amazement to appreciate then explain what is happening. No autotune or pitch correction. He arranged the 150-ish independently recorded voices into an 'instrument' by ear, then composed and 'played' that opening 'Moon'. He's a very talented young man. Best Wishes, and Please be Careful. ☮ It was almost 5,000 sound files. He had to mix sections down because it had far too many sound files for Apple's Logic. Apple reputedly increased the number of files Logic could handle after discovering this.
