What’s good Charlie! Anoushka Shankar is indeed the daughter of the great Ravi Shankar.
if I'm not mistaken, this is the most universally appreciated tracks of the album according to Jacob's Discord server

Glad that’s the case. This is my personal favorite on the album. Fusion done so well, and my god that drop towards the end makes me feel like I’m levitating
I feel like this song is one of those perfect examples of Jacob creating what he describes as a "world." This song (the sound components) all live within a sound sphere (or world) that he created. And after many rounds of exploring that world after he created it, he went with more of a "less-is-more" approach in a way that is rather uncharacteristic of Jacob. I love this song. It's definitely a hidden gem on the album.
For some reason, the algorithm has been giving me videos of people reacting to and reviewing the album who all think it's completely terrible, Jacob has no artistic sensibilities, and this among several others are some of the worst he's ever done. I love the album from start to finish and this is one of my favourites. It's lovely finding people who share my opinion.

You are right. There are haters, who used to go from video to video of Jacob to write negative comments. Now they do negative reviews of the album to try to hurt Jacob's success, but believe me they fail. I am nearly 70 and this album is the best I've ever had and heard.😊

So you want to be in an echo chamber where people just validate your opinion?

This is my favorite song on the album!!
“Waiting on the world “ …for things to unfold. Whatever happens I’ll be there for it.
I've been anticipating the "what's good planet earth?" for this.
This is my absolute favorite at the moment from the album and I have been waiting in anticipation for your reaction. It was so worth the wait
Sitar my dude! Nailed it (Rock Somewhere, I feel, is a metaphor for planet earth)
i dunno why more people aren't appreciating this track. it's one of the better ones on this album.
Hi Charlie! Anoushka Shankar is in fact Ravi’s daughter as well as Norah Jones’ sister. Great reaction 👍🏼
I do so much love your reactions and breakdowns and all of the above. Carry on sir ❤
Yes bro! Sorry, I’ve got a mad catching up session to do for you. I fully get why you like Jacob. You can’t place him in any kind of box, his voice and choice of soundtracks are unique. Thank you for introducing me to his music ❤
Great song, great reaction. Thanks ❤
this album is a masterpiece
Not only is Anoushka the daughter of Ravi Shankar, she’s the half sister to Norah Jones… Ravi was a bit cheeky when he was in America in the 60’s
this is my favorite song on the album
he is a genius
I LOVE THIS TRACK!!!
so good ❤
Agreed. This and Bridge are the two best individual cuts. The only one I think is fairly ordinary Mi Corazon and even that has a decent groove, albeit too commercial.
Old Bell, think is someone older that's why it feels like hell...?my thought. I am waiting on the world, takes me back to the hope that every knee shall bow and tounge confess That Jesus is Lord...
My man, the very fact that your question is specifically if it's a tanpura or sitar (it is the latter, and Anoushka Shankar is indeed the great Ravi Shankar's daughter) and then you claim almost apologetically that you know nothing about or aren't well-versed in Indian instruments, is a mark of your admirable humility.. You're obviously very knowledgeable in world instruments, good sir! It's such a welcome change to see your reaction after a slew of 'reactors' trashing on the track and the album, and who keep calling it Arabic / Iraqi / 'desert video game' music, making me cringe in second hand embarrassment. I also noticed you listened with rapt attention till the very last second of the track with those ember sounds dying out, when you could have stopped it like any other reactor would have several moments prior once the exciting parts of the song were done. That is true respect for the artist and his creation right there 🙏 This point forth, I'll be looking forward to each of your reviews, and I'll know I can trust them.. You've earned a fan and a subscriber 👍

Wow! I'm truly touched my your comment, brother. Thank you so much for your appreciation and kind words 🙏🏼. Yes, I don't know what is with so many people hating on him at the moment. Maybe they think it's makes them seem edgy and different to not like something so demonstrably impressive. I guess it's an inevitable consequence of becoming big and being widely acclaimed. Insecure people who want to seem different will hate 🤷🏻♂️
I don't get the hype. My ears bleed listening to this.
