It’s nice to see High school baseball has actual national rankings and doesn’t just call everyone #1 in the nation like high school football does.

There are different positions in football that have different roles. For example, a Center will never be compared to a wr. Baseball is the same thing everyone knows how to field and throw. In football the objective is different for every single player.

@@shaneschwartz1018 there are different positions on baseball and they all require different skill sets you can't compare a closer to a center fielder being the best prospect means that you're the best out of all prospects regardless of position having multiple #1 prospects isn't accurate you can have different prospects rank #1 in their respective position but at the end of the day one of those prospects is the better player out of everyone

I have never seen this in 30 years of following high school football recruiting. ESPN might have kid A at # 1 and rivals might have kid B at # 1. But I’ve never seen someone rank two football players at number 1. Could you give an example of a year it happened?

@@jakenbake9878 it happened when Bryce Harper was in high school he was the consensus #1 prospect in the country not just in HS but also among College players I believe he graduated HS early and attended a D1 or JUCO level college to have some experience at that level but he dominated that even tho he was a few years younger than everyone else

When you can have a serviceable SS that bats left you get extra base runners. More trips to first equals more runs scored. He gets on base. That’s valuable.

Absolutely love his approach at the plate, hitting the ball to left field when pitched away. He’s a good mix of new/old school. I’m a little nervous with his long stride to the ball….maybe a too reliant on timing.

Not only do they already have a stacked roster, Evan Carter just proved what he could do during the WS run and they have Wyatt Langford, Brock Porter and Jack Leiter all waiting to come up soon. I would not be surprised to see the Oriels and Rangers both battling in future postseasons to come.

Does anyone think the number 1 draft pick isn't going to get as much as the big club can invest into his future? He's super talented, young and with the big club behind him, only a matter of time before he's the dude for the O's! Jeter too was young and not terribly successful his first two years out the gate in the minors, but the club put a lot of time and effort into him and it paid off for the Yanks too. Good to be the numero uno!!

They’re gonna put him on HGH Injections bc his plates likely have not fused yet so he could grow lab wise, taller and longer… then they will put him on Deca or D-bol to put on 20-25lbs inside 2 months. MLB, tends to do this to make talent larger, stronger, more durable at bat. They did it to Bryce Harper… remember his size when he entered the league lol. His forearms alone are 3 times the size now, that they once were… those are injection based results.

@@morcatna4767 no it’s not? Their core of players is gonna be with them for at least another 5 years. The team wasn’t expected to deliver as early as it did, but now that it has, there is a lot of time to build upon this past season. They have plenty of time to win a WS They also have the best farm in baseball, and they have the 2nd lowest payroll. If they want to address their weaknesses, they can either spend money (which is unlikely for them but still possible) or make trades. Their farm system is good enough so that they don’t need to trade Holliday to address their weaknesses. Also, Gunnar played a lot of 3B, so he’ll either move there or Holliday will move to 2B/3B

Just enjoy being a star and take a page from the derek jeter playbook on how to deal with women and he will be ok.
