"Use your product like you stole it." 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I like the "what can this generator do" videos. I am not a scientific geek so watts, volts amps etc goes right over my head. I like both videos. The more scientific ones help me learn and these tell me what I can actually DO with the generator.

Volts is the speed of the river, amps is the size of the river, and watts is speed times size. That’s what works for me.
NICE JOB! MY DOG HAS STOPPED EATING AFTER HEARING WHAT YOU SAID ABOUT SOLAR GENERATORS IN THIS VIDEO.
This is a great format for non tech people, I don’t think there are any channels out there doing as respectfully and throughly as you do. I think you have hit upon something here.
I have two of the Jackery 1000 Explorers. I'm 84 and don't travel, but I've found uses all around my place for these great power batteries.. When you first did your videos on the Jackery, I bought one, then, after finding how great a machine the first one was, and how safe, beautifully packaged in it's plastic case, and how easy to use it was, a few months later bought the second one. By trial and error I now know what the Jackery's will power, but your video on what they will handle is very helpful to those of us who have a very inferior knowledge of electricity. Thanks for your ability to communicate so wonderfully.
One of the things that thrills me on a sunny day is how the Jackery can keep my 12v refrigerator/freezer at the coldest setting yet stay at 100% when hooked up to a solar panel. That's my favorite use.

Well done! The techy folks most likely are up on Jackery so the everyday user needed this breakdown. Thanks 😊
I run one for supplementing power. I have 5 boys all games and it adds up power consumption-wise. Also doubles as gaming time regulator. Yesterday they were arguing over percentages, so it's a math tutor aswell.

That is genius! I love it, especially the part of regulating gaming time.

@@1MRRICHARD I'm not sure the wattage consumption of an Xbox 360 and your TV. But the average for me is about 160 Watts and I can run it about 6 hours. 7 hours for Netflix and KZread.

@@jeramimachado383 I been searching for a portable powerstation watching lots of different videos but nothing is telling me how long they can run. It would be a tv and Xbox id be running for hrs at a time
Very cool format. I like that you picked things you knew would work, and other things you knew would fail. If you had a standard set of things you tested against, with different "SoGen" models, it would provide a good baseline. You have way more patience than I do. :)
I already knew most of what you were explaining, but it’s still a good watch especially for new people. My favorites are your product reviews that go in to battery chemistry, cycle life, operating parameters such as max charge rate, discharge rate testing etc. I haven’t seen many others test to the extent that you do, and I have learned quite a bit from you. I know your test procedures take a lot of effort but that is what separates you from the others. Thanks Tom
These simple demos on the capacity of the unit is great. Makes it easier for a nube to understand how long the unit will serve without a charge. Keep them coming!
I love this format!! The cutscenes add to the experience.
I like the "how long can I run a _____" tests. I know, I can do the math, but having the actual SoGen that I'm considering buying is really helpful vs. a lot of fudge factoring on the efficiency of the inverter is nice.
Love your videos! Thanks for disassembling the tech jargon so I can understand it on ALL the products I'm interested in!
Great job Tom! Excellent format and presentation nice showcase for the Jackery Explorer 1000. I bought my E1000 on your recommendation and even with it’s dated technology it has got me through three long term power losses. You are the best technical reviewer of the equipment. Keep up the great videos.
It is a good format for someone who hasn't watched every recent video you put out. One more helpful thing to add is how long it takes to recharge with different panels.
Loved the video format Hobo to go along with the product reviews.
I was glad you did the video, thanks. I was really glad you tried the induction stove. I have the exact one you used and didn't think it would work with my 1000. Good to know!
Thanks for the vid and taking the time to test the everyday devices. It was a useful review, especially based on your real life experience. Keep up the great job!
I really found this info helpful. Thank you. I’m a survivor of the big freeze / no water situation in TX this February.
I bought mine on May 2020 and I'm using right now while watching this video. Bought for hurricane season here in Puerto Rico, luckily no hurricanes here (yet), but we've been having some power outages in these past few days and I use it to plug my fridge, a freezer, wifi router and a fan and it could last up to 8 hours non-stop, this has been one of the best purchases I've made in this past year, your videos helped me a lot when I wad looking for one. 🙋♂️thanks.
I found it useful. Maybe frame it around a situation you’re in? Here’s what XXX solgen will handle when (1) you’ve lost power and AC, heaters etc are important (2) or when you’re camping (3) or when you’re tailgating etc - just scenarios where certain loads are combined more often.
Great format to this video. Short, summarized reviews of all the appliances that I might ever use. Thanks
I like this format a lot i leave the technical stuff to the experts
Exactly the kind of info I need. Real world applications. Tyvm Hobotech!
Perfect format. Fast and informative.
Like the format. Keep it up!
This is one of the best videos I've watched...solid, use-able information -no figuring out words or reversing b/c yet another word threw me. No offense intended, you give fab video info no matter what, but I really appreciated not having to figure so much out. Even tho I'll have a Montek soon (once it gets out of the LA port jam-up), I relied on this as being similar for the usage and times. GREAT video.
I like the format of the usage video ! For the dumbies like me it simplifies my learning. Thank you for the tutoring.
I loved the video. Thanks for taking the substantial time, and exercising substantial patience, to produce it. I see there are already some head-slapping comments. Sigh. Anyway, you continue to crack me up as usual. Thanks for that. Always appreciated. Have a great weekend!
Always learn something watching your videos. Just retaining what I learn over a long period does cause me to go back and watch again. Great thing about You Tube
I just ordered one. Thanks for the video
You can't beat the jackery for doing what it says on the the box. I have the 500w jackery in my camper. And its a great backup power system when off grid here in Ireland. Thanks to the tests you did made me choose the jackery 500.
Dope video brother! I had the induction question as well and you answered it! Peace! And thank you.
Just bought a Jackery 1000 w/ 2 100W solar panels using your code. Thanks for the videos!
I really liked this video , It was more informational to me , I watch many of your videos as I find you an interesting person and a good teacher ! . I appreciate you as your vids are straight and to the point with a side dish of humor .
Thanks for the discount codes Hobo!!👍😎
Bought the first Jackery Explorer I ever saw . Still a beautiful nightstand accessory to this day .
Thank you for taking the time to do the review. I went with a 320W Wattfun (peak 640W) because I understood it to have all the same features, but a much smaller price tag, but still the ability to run a fridge/AC because of the spike/peak feature (to 640W) when the compressor starts up. I haven't tested my "science," so I'm hoping I made the right choice over the 1000w Jackery.
Really like this format. I found it most helpful for real life usage situation. Thank you🌿
Thank thank thank you! You are the only person I understand about inverters! Please do more appliances for camping. I want to use induction burner!
Thank you! Very Helpful - it gives us a good idea of what the 1000 can do and for how long - - an excellent video!
Great format! We get to see it in action.
You always get the 👍 from me Professor! I gave my Jackery 1000 to my X to help her with the California Blackouts. I didn't get the opportunity to show her the ends and outs of it so, this is going to be a perfect video for me to share with her! Thanks as always! Now Go Clean That LITTER-BOX!!! 🍺😎👍
I learned alot. I have watched your videos for years. Good job.
Do it again, do it again. More products please. Excellent way to help choose many watts I need for my van. Thanks!
I like and watch all your videos. I do enjoy this format, even after using your link to buy a Jackery 500 and Jackery portable solar panel they are very informative. Will more than likely be buying a bigger Bluetti in the future
Great video❗️With a tornado coming through my community last year and all power lines down for five days and a winter blizzards this year and out power grid going down for three days I decided to get the Jackery 1000 and two of the Jackery 100W solar panels.

Great format for me. Thanks for this info I was craving.
I like the "What I like and what I don't like" portion of your videos. I'm not too much into all of the technical stuff, I want to k ow what you think is good and bad. I trust you're info and input.
Loved the examples in your video. New to SoGen and trying to figure the size to buy to supplement our RV when Boondocking and as a backup for power outages at home.
Yes, I liked the format! Love the cartoons! Love your channel!
The south park clip had me dying laughing. Great video. Loved the format style.
Do more like this!
Good info for people who have never used a solar generator. I would watch more like this.
This review was awesome!
All your videos are great. I really learned a lot watching this one. Thank you for what you do.
Thank you Tom!! Your tip of getting a Kilowatt meter is very helpful. My wife is a kidney patient on a home dialysis machine. It heats up the bags and I'm only guessing right now what it uses over the 8 hour treatment period. I'm going to order the kilowatt meter and then know how to size up the Jackery for us. Your tests and advice are very much appreciated Sir.
Great info. Thanks I just ordered one today Darn missed the 10% off. Great work.
exactly the info i needed .thanks .
I did very much like it. Practical use tests qualify the data from your other videos in a much more palatable way.
This was awesome! Thank you for this.
Enjoyed this video. I really liked the teaching moments, like increasing battery cycle life. Thanks for making this.

Yes! So definitely! I had heard the 20%/80% when he said it first, but then never again anywhere -good confirmation. Will make me stick to it! Esp about the heat again too...b/c that means I Gotta store these in the house-dang it, I WANT TO just keep them in the van -but I also want them to be there when I need them! :-/ Gotta go with the facts. Thanks for the facts Professor!

I first heard the 20%/80% battery strategy from Tesla owners. I even think it's a setting on the car as to what level to charge to.
Thanks for testing these things it is good to know
I just bought a 3 qt. Instant Pot to take on the road for cooking in case I couldn’t get any 1 lb propane cylinders, but now thinking maybe I should return it and purchase an induction burner. For some reason, I was thinking it would not power an induction burner. I really appreciate the very useful info you share with us. 👍🏻
I like this video and format. Thank you.
Thank you for the information on how much to charge/discharge the Jackery - this is valuable advice and will help many peeps :)
Good video. You did a great job of explaining the practical uses of power stations/solar generators.
Good video 👍 Please continue to make videos like this and with other Solar Generators using various types of household items. This was most helpful. Thanks
I like the format and I think it's helpful. Another thing I think you can do with this SoGen is charge an E bike. It may not charge it all the way up, but it should run the charger that comes with the bike, with the expected efficiency issues. You might include that in future videos of this nature.
@kenp.7304
2 жыл бұрын
You should be able to get a full charge with a typical 672 Wh (watt hour) e-bike battery. This would be equivalent to a battery capacity of 14 Ah (amp hours) @ 48V (nominal voltage). See below for hypothetical comparison. Jackery Explorer 1000 ---- (1,002 Wh * .68 efficiency) / 672 Wh e-bike battery = 101% full charge. Jackery Explorer 1500 ---- (1,535 Wh * .68 efficiency) / 672 Wh e-bike battery = 155% full charge. Bluetti EB240 ------------------ (2,400 Wh * .68 efficiency) / 672 Wh e-bike battery = 243% full charge.
I love this gives great information on actually what the solar generator can do. Thanks
HoboTech Tom: Fantastic demo as always! TYI

Thanks!…answered questions I needed before I bought one!
Thankyou. I love your demo videos.
Great format.....Very helpful.
Great video on what it can power. Love my Jackery 1000 and 300.
I can't believe you didn't test it with a candle warmer! I mean it IS an essential appliance in a blackout situation! Lol just kidding. I have a jackery 500 but thinking of upgrading.

THANK YOU FOR THIS! I just bought a 1K Jackery and wanted to see it in action before I did anything.
Great format. REAL WORLD information, not a bunch of b.s. that doesn't matter! Keep up the good work HOBOTECH!!!!!
Very helpful format. Great help to those of us who aren't tech-savvy.
Nice to see the limitations of various appliances and brands.
you are hella'arious! Ive watched several of your EXTREMELY helpful videos learned alot laughs were a bonus, I love this format hope to see more, new subscriber
Loved this. It was info I wanted to know!
I really liked this type of "real world" video. Would love to see more, especially one showing the Bluetti ac50s. Thanks for what you do
Thank you. I am in the middle of a budget build and was trying to figure what w/h I could get by with. ECCELLENT! I GET OFF CHEEP!
Thanks.. love this! im getting ready for vanlife..helps me plan.
Great information I like this format better Thank You
Thanks Tom great video !!! I really appreciate it !!
...For all the really cool camp stoves and wood stove tents etc. Having a solar gen and a nice electric blanket is about the same as having a heated floor. With an insulated tent set up, this would be great for some winter camping. Especially if you wanted to keep a low profile. There are blankets that are 12V but many auto shut off.. wattage ? run time? ...? must be way more efficient than any space heater. food for thought! I'm loving your research and testing. Thanks as always for giving up the info that other reviewers miss!!. repeatedly. again and again, time after time.
love it. Please do more.
Great vid, pls continue this method, thanks.
Great job, really enjoyed it, informative and fun!
yep, this format really useful thanks
I learned a lot. Thank you.
I really liked this video and it helped me. Please do more.
good format. useful caviats to consider not just watt consumption
