The 500 ran our home 6ft freezer unit for 10 hours from 100% charge. Hope this helps. So it can be used in an emergency at home for a short term power cut - one must assume therefore that the 1000w will give around twice that.

I camp with a CPAP (Resmed S10) & a Jackery 240 and use a DC to DC adapter to reduce the power consumption of the CPAP (DC/DC is more efficient then DC/AC {outlet}) . 7 to 8 hours of use and the most I have used in one night was 40% of power with the humidifier off, heated hose off, and wifi off {plan mode}. Then I use a Rockpals 60W solar panel to top if off and I can go for days.

I had just recently purchased the 240 to use in case of power outages for small electronics, so I haven't actually used it yet. I don't camp so I didn't think I needed something with a lot of power, just for the basics. Plus it was the only one I could afford at this time but I'd love to eventually get the 1000 so I can power more things.

I got the Jackary 500 for my 7-week trip out to CA and back to TN. I set it up to charge from the car and it's 12v outlet was connected to my Apicool C20. The Jackary charging from the car easily kept up with the draw from the fridge. In a test, it ran the fridge for 48 hours and it consumed about 70% of the Jackary's battery. I also recommend getting Jackary's solar panel.

Just FYI…I got the JACKERY 240, and, it runs my cpap in remote locations without power, for 8 hours, PLUS my phone and tablet while I watch videos/surf the net several hrs before I turn on the cpap and go to sleep. At the end of the night, I still have 34-38 % ….then it takes 4-4.5 hrs to recharge at home in the wall outlet. Btw I use the 110v wall adapter for my cpap, as I haven’t purchased the car adapter yet, and the tech at JACKERY said I could save an additional 15% from the power conversion if I do use the car adapter to power my cpap!!! I’m VERY impressed!!

It will take about 10 percent of the 160. I plug it in, I go and get cleaned up, change clothes, and brush my teeth and by that time it's warm. Now what I do on my 2 to 4 day camping trips is make my coffee ahead and bring a big 40 ounce thermas of coffee and heat it up with the warmer. This is a similar brand from Amazon. Re your comment on the shortcomings of your roof mounted panel, I do not like a roof mounted solar panel because if you are in the sun for a recharge, you are baking hot. Put a leg on the panel along with a longer cable and place it in the sun. This way you can position the panel for optimal angle and orientation periodically throughout the day.

Thanks for your video. Amazon states they are out of the 1000 and not sure when they will be back in stock. Jackery says they won’t ship one to Alaska. Are they in short supply to your knowledge?

Solar has made camping so much easier. Definitely going to get one. I am curious if you have a small, electric portable heater that you could plug into the Jackery to use on those cold mornings? And also, maybe a small quiet portable fan for those hot nights? Tight lines!

You can always ad more batteries later. As u get more experienced. When u buy items for van. Look at watts and buy smaller wattage items. Yse more non electric items. Ex. Pour over coffee pots. Propane stove, led lighting etc. Set it for plug into electric ability too! Like a teardrop.

Thanks! I just bought a 500 on Amazon. Good video and smart tips. I was interested before..., but as I have both a Tesla and half- of an older Van, it would probably be more for the Van... I checked the other brands, most of them advertise 'peak' output, so a '500' by anyone else is actually more equivalent to 250 in a Jackery.

Do these have a cooling fans? The reason I ask is I want to use them to power LED Drawer lights for a kitchen island that has no power. The LEDs are 2W-10W each and go on only when you have the drawer open, so I imagine the battery would last a very long time. But if it has its own fan, I don't imagine it would last very long.

I've heard that when you want to use solar to charge these up you need an extra lead which isn't supplied with Jackery, could you tell me if this is right or not? Lots of folks saying that they had to order it after buying the power stations and the solar but no lead to plug into one another. I want the 250W so a solar connection would be ideal as I live in Spain where we have quite a lot of sunshine - thank you all in advance x
