Wonderful thank you for sharing your experience thoughts and stories
As a 50yr old, slept in my car at st Andrew’s in order to see him play his last round there, and was very emotional when he stood on the swilken bridge for the last time. I was there to see him win in 1978 having slept in a tent. Got his autograph on the photo in the programme which I still cherish. He had time for everyone and respected everyone. Happy memories. Thanks Jack………

I honestly didn't really plan on sitting and watching this entire hour-long interview, but these 2 legends kept me watching for the whole thing. It was awesome listening to them recount stories of their experiences past and a few details of their best friendships. I'm amazed at how Jack remembers so specifically not only past rounds he's played or the layout of each course, but he remembers EVERY SINGLE SHOT, and even the distance to the pin after each shot! INCREDIBLE! Thanks for this one, Nick! This was a real pleasure to watch.

Wonderful listening to this,. Amazing how Jack recounts shots from some of his great wins; I'll bet, though, he still remembers some of those painful losses, like for ie. Watson's chip in at Pebble at 17, at US Open. A pleasure to watch this.

Were I to emulate any golfer aside from Sam Snead; that player would be a combination of these two at their peak.
For me, the greatest moment in sports (all sports) was the 86 Masters. I so clearly recall standing in my brothers kitchen watching Jack walk up the 18th fairway to the roar of the crowd. I knew I was watching the most incredible moment in golf history and I had to stand and clap my hands as tears rolled down my face. I’m 72 now but I remember that moment as if it was yesterday. Jack was and remains my favorite golfer of all times. What an amazing man and thank you Nick for the privilege of sharing this time with the two of you.

I've listened to Mr Nicklaus for forty five years and I don't think I've ever heard him talk other than common sense with wisdom dignity and respect. Somehow somewhere a long time ago, I had a little pocket-sized book of Nicklaus golf tips. I carried it in my bag and would pull it out to refer to. That was decades ago, and I can't find it anywhere. If I could, I'd pay good money to have that again. Old Jack. A legend, but also...hmmm, I got some issues with his politics. Remember watching Nick Faldo playing a round on St. Andrews with Sam Snead a few days before The Open. Sneed was an elderly gentleman and his sight was bad. Nick guided him. Told him about direction, length, putting lines o.a. Sneed played a great round and did some incredible putts even though he couldn't see very far. Two incredible gentlemen. Think it was in 2000. Snead died 2 years later RIP
This is excellent. I got to shake Jack's hand at The Memorial back in the early 90's. On a tee. I was up at the rope and his caddy put the bag down in front of me. Jack came over to get his club and I instinctively reached out my hand, and he shook it. What a day when I was young. Will never forget it.

Not a bad word spoken towards anyone, including the much controversial LIV tour that has caused plenty of heat and verbal bashing. My greatest golf memory walking with Jack and Arnold in a practice round at Oakmont in the '94 US Open. Unbelievable day that I'll remember forever.
Really enjoyed guys…The story of Arnold piloting just the two around the country is unreal to hear! And the 86 Masters yellow shirt story and Jack’s company having rebuilt the 18th green!

Thank you Sir Nick for showing us this great interview with Jack. You two people are special to the game of golf!
Mr. Faldo, you are the man! My dad who passed away a few years ago is the reason I got into golf. He watched golf throughout the 80s and 90s in early thousands when I was too young to watch. Every time a golfer would hit a shot he would say something like “that just like Faldo”, or “ that’s not how Faldo does it”… for the longest time? I thought he was talking about some wild, exotic, animal or bird. As I eventually grew into the game, I realized obviously you were one of the best golfers of several generations. I’m not proud to be able to teach my son about the joys of golf and the golfers the game before me. We miss you and your voice on the live coverage, but so glad you found a happy place. Good luck to you!
The OG GOAT and still is based on stats. Thank you for this opportunity to hear Jack talk about is legacy and about how he believes family before golf. Absolutely fantastic episode to kick off an outstanding channel Sir Nick. Long live the Legends you guys have become 🙏
Sir Nick, absolutely fantastic! Two legends giving us a glimpse of their lives. Please keep them coming
This is THE best golf interview I’ve seen… amazing! Thank you to you both for being so generous.
…so rare to see someone at 83 as alert and cogent as mr. nicklaus…an example to us all of aging gracefully!…
I have a Nicklaus golf ball he threw to me after the Thursday round of the 1987 U.S. Open at the Olympic Club in San Francisco. We were on our way out to the parking lot and walked by the driving range. There were 2 guys on the range, Greg Norman and Jack Nicklaus and there were a handful of us fans that stopped and watched...I will never forget it! I have to say Sir Nick, that was SUCH an enjoyable show...it brought back so many memories...thank you!
I loved how much Jack Nicklaus enjoyed Peter Thomson's summary on the life of golf at 46:25. It all started with a 3 wood and it ended with a 3 wood.

Two of my favorite golfers of all time. I really enjoyed this interview with Jack done by Nick. Great job by both guys! I can listen to Jack tell his stories from his past and with such clarity and what a memory. And Nick asked the perfect questions to trigger Jack to go into. I could have watched another hour of them. And Nick has so many of his own memories and stories about Jack. Absolutely great interview.
It’s not often an interview can make me feel the way this did. With the state of our world these days it’s hard not to be down or even depressed. This interview brought back the nostalgia of the good old days for me and I’m only 45. I grew up watching both of these guy’s and the other player’s they spoke about like Arnold Palmer. They were my heroes and still are to this day. Jack designed a course near my house for the charity “Folds of Honor” that I play every chance I get. The charity helps the surviving families of fallen soldiers. Thank you Jack for giving back and for inspiring me and millions of people to be better.

What an epic conversation between the greatest and a proper legend. Such great ambassadors of our beloved game. I’m so proud to be a golfer.
I would love to watch but Faldo can’t stop talking when Nicklaus is talking, can’t listen
LIV doesn't want to eliminate the PGAT. Just like the PGAT didn't want to eliminate the PGA of America. They didn't even want to compete with them, but Jay wouldn't negotiate with LIV. He thought he would just squash LIV. He underestimated his opponent and brought a fly swatter to kill a hawk. That was a huge mistake. He should resign, and the PGAT should bring in someone to negotiate.
RIP Jack , best of all time!
Two class acts, living legends. Jack the Golden Goat. Excellent conversation.
Jack has been a paragon of sportsmanship, honesty and humility on the golf course but I lost respect for him as a MAN when he went all in for DJT in 2020. He’s still the GOAT on the golf course, but to champion someone who is the opposite of one’s values is just sad.

True dat. It was a great disappointment for me since he was a hero to me as a kid. All I could finally conclude is that he's a product of his class: rich country club. Those are the folks and society he's been among his whole life, and he's going to think like them about social issues. Still think he's a decent guy, ESPECIALLY for a professional athlete, but he's got blinders on too about all the privilege he's enjoyed.

An incredible treat. I would read his books and advice in magazines on golf as a teen, and then attended THE Ohio State University where Jack of course was a legend - he and Woody. Playing Scarlet & Grey golf courses, you heard the stories from those who knew him, and it was a thrill to hear about his abilities to cut corners and drive past sand traps. Then I was able to attend tour events and follow him, and see his game up close and personal. I remember I was lucky once down the fairway and his ball landed in the rough practically by my feet. The green was blocked by a tree, and Jack walked up, took literally a few seconds to assess the situation, and boom, made his swing hooked the ball out of the rough around the tree, pin high. He looked over at those of us around him, slight smile, and off he went. OMG. SKILL! Always a gentlemen to the crowds, always in control even when facing intense pressure and difficult shots, easily the greatest golfer who ever played the game and no better ambassador for the game. The intelligence he shows in this interview is amazing. Go Bucs!
