The live version on Goodbye Cream of Sittin' on Top of the World is a most extreme example of Marshall distorted bass from Jack.

Aye Lad's, The Bruce!❤ Only Jack,(probably others as well for the sake of argument) can make a Bass instrument sound like it's at home in a classical Indian ensemble? It sounds like a freaking Sitara! RIP Jack 🙏

I remember reading an interview years ago where Jack said sometimes his tone in those days was the sound of a Marshall with all but one speaker blown. Still, fantastic in all his stages.

That's a really good point: in the 60s they were limited my tecnichal matters, the "real" Jack Bruce came out with the clean fretless bass, so he kept this sound for 30 years or so

Very beautiful melody there. Is it purely improvised, or is he playing a song that I have failed to recognize?
