jack benny / mel blanc 1966
Комедия
From "The Jack Benny Hour" in 1966 on NBC. Jack introduces a "hot" new musical act to television. I don't hold copyright on images or music. Just the assembly of these elements. Created for fun and education. Enjoy

How can anyone give this a thumbs down? They must prefer the smut loaded trash, that passes for comedy, today.

You bet. Check out the other Jack Benny videos for more comedy.
I wish they'd put all the Jack Benny episodes on DVD. I'd pay double the normal price. This guy was one of the greatest comedians of all time and I've only seen a very small portion of his work on DVD.

Always enjoyed Benny. Not only the TV but the radio as well. It does hold up.
blanc playing off of Benny straight man - makes this whole sketch that much more hilarious :)

The band's freeze at 4:30 is the highlight here. Easy to see why only Mel could Bugs.

Nobody even comes close. And they did it without crudeness or vulgarity. Still funny even though you know what's coming.😄❣
This was a real surprise. The comedy was good as always but to hear Mr. Benny actually play was a gem. Thank you from UK.

Today he is considered a racist by “woke” critics for perpetuating racial stereotypes. I do not agree with that opinion. He brought laughter and joy to both adults and children for decades.

Did anybody notice that the guy at the Far end with the sunglasses on the far end opposite from Mel Blanc was Bob Dylan incognito?!

Thanks so much . I was racking my brains trying to find out the name of that song . Bob Hope was right when he said Jack didn't look like he was doing much , but he completely owned the stage .
I keep asking myself, how could this show recorded, technology is changing a lots

I never get tired of Jack Benny.....when political correctness didn’t rule the airwaves. I miss the days when we could laugh at each other and if we were offended we could just change the channel.

@@charlottekluever180 In the UK there are several interviewers who I find have different styles, some aggressive and some polite. This contrasts with the older, grovelling chat of years ago. Similarly there are different programmes.

@@georgealderson4424 that is a good thing for my brothers and sisters across the ocean. I have completely turned away from mainstream media and listen to several different channels on KZread. Some are conservative, some left of center and some libertarian. But sadly, those who run KZread are quick to censor many of these voices, and the worst of it, they will give them three warnings but they will not tell the KZreadr why his content was flagged. Free speech as we know it in the US is systematically being undermined and ultimately destroyed. There are new venues that are emerging, so there is some hope that truth will come to light.
