I'm just beginning with Jack-8. At the stage where I test stuff out in practice tool and read the frame data and make ideas. I have to say, this is the fakest pressure I have ever seen. At least Lars gets to high crush you while applying his fake pressure. Jack-8 just stands there to take it up the ass. 90% of attacks out of stance transition will be beaten by someone spamming 10f jab. Again, at least Lars you need to hit df1. You can't even hit confirm the stance. My approach is going to be to reduce GH transitions and instead to use raw GH when I am slightly plus or barely minus because of the armor. If they are mashing grabs and lows then I can do the same back and stop GH completely. Just on first impressions, Jack-8's GH stance is extremely overrated and his grabs are extremely underrated. He is built with everything he needs to be a grappler except a mixup. But this is countergrab, throw-tracking Tekken era, mixup is no longer critical. He even has a high grab that comes out of crouch that gurantees a low grab that puts him into heat. Heat GH is real, not some gimmick.

@@NakedGhost3234 Depends, if you face a jack that only spams GH mixups he can be cheese even tho GH has clear counterplay. Still Jack 8 is not like Jack 7, but you are not wrong if you compare him to curren Top5 which is the most broken shit.

@@crusaderflo1965 we're not disagreeing with each other, it's basically the same thing we're saying. Jack-8 is pungent strong ass blue cheese all the way up to blue ranks. There though, he turns into the most honest character in the game at a high level. Odd character indeed.

Is there a trick to U/B+1+2 into blue spark? I can't get it. My blue sparks are good, fc d/f+2,1 works into blue spark. Any tipps?

Thank you so much for this video, picked up Jack-8 today and loving his new stuff! Quick question, does the wall gimmick at 7:08 still work? I've attempted the combo dozens of times now and for whatever reason, it won't activate even if all four hits of the necessary string connect. Unsure if there's a specific condition that needs to be met that i'm not following. Thank you again for all of the hard work. :)

It doesn't work as of last patch. Because Devil Jin's cd1 after heat dash did too much damage on floor break stages, they changed it so stage hazards can no longer be activated if the opponent is in a grounded state, like after heat dash.

0:39 I don't think you need to SSR there, you can actually delay the f+4 and the combo still works.

@@xxxxxxxxxx16 frankly any character will be a good start, they’ll just end up teaching you different things. Jack in particular can help you with your spacing, punishing approaches with your high range, and finding gaps in enemy combos, as your 10 framer is more risky than others
