hi, could you give me more info about the pump modifications?
Nice job, pulls more than mi 3l with ct20 turbo, want to upgrade my turbo, how did you manage the vtn? I know the gt18v turbo uses a vacuum actuator but normally that vacuum actuator needs an electronic device to manage the vacuum pression that goes from the engine to the turbo. Could you help me out with that please?

It's hard to explain.The VNT i s managed by VW oil pressure sensor.I have welded a little pipe in the exhaust flange and then add 1 meter long gas hose at the end of the hose we have VW oil sensor.But it must be special one green one DELPHI.They stands for about a year.Then signal goes to vaccum pump thru the bmw pressure sensor.I have photos somewhere
Hey, what pump head is it? Will i work with a pump head from a vw tdi? Bosch vp37. They are available very chep. Orginal cam plate?

No it won"t.The pump is original zexel.Internals from opel frontera 2.8td

with these numbers, did you put on new cylinder head? my hilux surf always having that kind of issue

No the fuel pump delivers double amount of fuel but in a shorter period of time.The EGT droped from 650 to 350 celsius.The head is ok
How much distance have you covered on this setup? Is it reliable on stock engine (piston, conrod etc)?

About 5000km for now.Everything is fine.But you need bigger coller.Engine bone stock
do you know how much pressure this engine can handle without having problems or breaking?1,2bar is it good or dangerous?

I'm running 1.5 bar 3 years from now.All good
Sorry man, what wastegate have you got on the turbo? I put the 2lt stock but the turbo doesn't boost more than 0.7 bar

Stock turbo is weak.It has poor airflow.But changing only turbo will not change anything :) If you adding more boost you must add more fuel ;)

when Turbo making boost it will illuminate GREEN, when its over boosted or underboosted/ turbo not functioning properly it will come Red.. i had a couple of these models.

Tak przekłamuje o jakieś 7km/h Ale to nie był pełen gaz.Strasznie rozjebana droga i zaczęło mnie rzucać a tel miałem w ręce i ciężko bylo nad kierownicą zapanować :) Moze kiedys nagram go pro przykleje przed licznikiem
What kind og VNT turbo do you use? And where did you buy it?

GT18V.From opel saab.But only turbo will get you nothing.You need to built custom fuel pump

I think worse.Because this one has been modified and it's better than 1kz one.But 1kz one can be modified as well to work as this one and get lower EGT temps along with bigger power

Stock egt was 650 celsius,normal driving.Now is 350.With intercooler it will be around 300.But it's not the turbo but fuel pump.Internals are changed.Changing only a turbo will get you nothing

I can sell it.The whole engine,exhaust gauges,bigger clutch,bigger radiator.Because i'm putting the 3uz-fe next year

It has bigger internals from opel frontera 2.8 td pump.More fuel in a shorter period of time

Jeździłem na tym 3 lata zero problemów.I to w terenie ciężkim.Na asfalcie jest super w końcu można wyprzedzać i nie puchnie pod górki.To nie jest tak że to jest wyżyłowane.Parametry są poprawione.Temp spalin jest 2 razy niższa niż w oryginale.Poprawiona jest sprawność silnika bo wcześniej więcej paliwa było przetworzone na ciepło a teraz na moc.To jak odblokowanie możliwości tego silnika.Kiedyś nie było turbin ze zmienną geometrią itd.A piszę jeździłem dlatego że jest rozebrana i wstawiam 3uz fe z automatem z lexusa.A ten cały setup jest na sprzedaż

Variable geometry turbo and 11mm fuel sections in pump.Now i'm swaping an 3uz from lexus
The higher vehicle weight of the LC notwithstanding, this actually seems only as fast as a stock 2L-TE on a Mark II.

Hi! Great video! I have my own 1987 LJ70 with the 2LT. I upgraded my stock turbo to a Garret VGT turbo running 1.4 bar. But my head cracked. Im glad to see that you are running 1.5 bar with succes. Have you other mods? Like a intercooler og bigger exhaust pibe? My concern is engine heat! Regards from Denmark

EGT in mine droped from 650 Celsius to 350.But you have to change the internals in fuel pump.I have full stainless 2.25 exhaust

@@blase9090 Thank you for your quick answer. Isnt i possible with the stock fuel pump? Mine delievers enough fuel?🤔 Planning on a 2,5” freeflow stainless steel exhaust and a intercooler. Do you have a bigger front cooler?

Your oil pressure doesn't look great. Also your turbo light should be staying on above 2100, yours seems to flash on lift off, not sure why

Stock turbo pressure is about 0.5 bar and now the gt18v is pumpin 1.5 bar that's why the light is on,showing overboosting ;).And yes the oil pressure is not the best :) But it's not the worst either.It's still going strong from then.I'm using 10w60 now so it's higher.When it dies i'm puting 3uz
