@@egodrunk he wasn't his mentor but growing up hope was inspired by jcole and freestyled a lot to his music. Jcole was also one of the first artists hobi listened to so that's why towards the start hobi is doing a handshake with his younger self who is dressed in the same clothes jcole is wearing in the MV (since he was so inspired by jcole growing up). This whole song is a tribute to jcole being hobi's inspiration and as jhope said "his muse," which is why hobi let jcole rap way more out of respect and adoration :) SORRY I TYPED SO MUCH I JUST REALLY CANNOT BELIEVE THIS COLLAB FINALLY HAPPENED

This made me happy beyond belief. The beat fits both of them soo well. I noticed it doesn’t saying featuring JCole it says with JCole like he’s not just a feature on a song, they’re collaborating with each other. You right best duo of the year!!

This is something I could have only dreamed about 11 years ago and it’s here

Growing up listen to J. Cole and falling in love with bts this is the pinnacle for me too. And I love the fact that it's just hip hop, it's not coated Mr Cole went in and did the things! I fell off my seat a number of times. This is fire. Now as for Suga and Kendrick, I don't think my heart is ready... I can't, I wouldn't be able to take it.

j-hope gave more part to j-cole, even it's his song, to show his respect to him, because j-cole was one of the biggest inspiration when j-hope was young. what a great collboration. i just want to see one more version- focused on his freestyle dancing to jermaine's part. he was dancing underground while j-cole was rapping on the rooftop, and in the end, j-hope comes to meet j-cole at the top. this shows j-hope's journey from the bottom to the worldwide top, from the time when he danced to j-cole's rap even before joining BTS to the day when he can make music with his idol.

I’m a Korean and I’ve loved hiphop for 15+ years. I’ve been diggin from Rakim and N.W.A. to Jack Harlow. Kendrick and Cole is like modern day Nas and Hov. Back in 2009, I knew RM when he was rapping in k hiphop underground a.k.a. Runchranda if I remember right. I think all of BTS members were really influenced by hiphop and R&B OGs. They gathered as BTS and they made it a lot. Finally RM is doing something with Pharrell, and J-Hope is giving J.Cole more than sixteen bars. What a big thing..

Hobi got his dream collab with HIS idol. I'm so happy they made this happen!!!! Cole's verse goes hard af every time. I'm glad they didn't overly censor his lyrics.

A song praising those that helped get him where is now and him giving back.
