MJB MJB When I hear Dilla's music after all these years he makes me realize how simple good hiphop is to make and even without him the show must go on! Dilla contributed to hiphop by bringing his unique ideas and craft to the table. Nobody takes hiphop anywhere. I hear my little cousin playing Migos Bobby Shmurda or "most of yall niggas like to swang" I'm sure Dilla would of liked the new stuff too especially that Baatin T3 and himself were not what you would call "conventional".

J Dilla did something so genius and yet so simple in this beat; the chords repeat every 6 bars, which is odd because we're used to hearing chords loop every 4 bars. Because of that misalignment Dilla was able to keep the same 6 chords going on and on and feel fresh every time. He really was a master at getting the most out of simplicity.

You can tell the postive mark J Dilla left based off the comments left on his beats. Everybody sharing their own feelings about this song, Nobody is fighting in the comments, just people enjoying beautiful music. And the craziest part is that J Dilla's beats dont even need a rapper on em, they just good as is. RIP Dilla

I found this beat in 2017 when I was driving around Southern California living out of my car. Every night it was just me in my car listening to j Dilla under the night sky. And J Dilla always makes the night better. Some really precious memories right there.

Its amazing how long he's been gone but yet I still find instrumentals i never heard or maybe forgot about & they still give me chillz of beautiful vibes. This is one of many. R.I.P DILLA

Man this brings back memories. I was interning in Hong Kong all the way from Italy, sharing the tiniest flat with my now ex-girlfriend. First serious job, first time moving in together. Every morning I would hop on these strange theme-park dreamy buses to go to work, and watch the sun reflect on the glass and steel of the tallest buildings I had ever seen. It was steaming hot, and humid. I would ride the bus - or, rather, the ding-ding - with a t-shirt, and then suit up at work. I still remember the tutorial I used to tie the tie. Some mornings, a whole class of karate kids would stream into the bus and stand silently in every spot available. Every morning I hoped this surreal conquest would happen. And there I was, listening to this tune, slightly nodding my head, watching these kids not saying a word while the hot air from the open windows ruffled their hair. I don't know if they realized how far away from home I was.

One of the greatest things that ever happened in my life was witnessing Slum Village 1999 in the UK live on stage.....Baatin - T3 and Dilla rockin hard!

Probably the deepest song on Slum Village's "YES" album. When I hear this song I see the Fantastic Vol. 2 cover with Dilla, T-3, and Baatin in my mind and for whatever reason it's surreal that two out of the three members on that album cover are gone. Would love to see and hear a new Slum Village album and reunion with the return of Elzhi and Illa J and of course who wouldn't wish that Dilla and Baatin were "back to life".
